Chapter 65 - ...precious baby...

Lisa woke up around 1pm to the smell of lunch. Chaeng ordered them room service and was already eating while watching TV.

"Oh, that's right, you don't have to go to work today." Lisa grumbled quietly as she rose from her bed and sat. "Hey, whoa, look at that, no headache!"

"Yeah, I told ya I'll keep ya good last night hahaha." Chaeng chuckled while she ate and continued to watch television.

"Thanks...oh whoa... Okay, I sat up too quickly haha... Hey, what are we eating for lunch then?"

"Oh, I've ordered us a lot of different things, I hope you don't mind."

"Mind? Chaeng I'm starving, and the fact that the food is already here is the best, thank you!" Lisa rose up from her bed and sat next to Chaeng so they were both now watching TV and eating.

"Last night was crazy." 

"Agreed... Oh, I forgot to mention, I took a video of you singing, it was way too good not to be filmed." Lisa chuckled.

"Oh, I bet it was hahaha... Can I see it though?"

"Of course!" Lisa got up to get her phone. "Whoa... A lot of birthday messages!" Lisa chuckled as she went through her phone, standing near her bed.

"I'm guessing, none of them from Irene so far?" Chaeng smirked.

"How did you-"

"First - if there was a message from Irene, you'd be screaming right now. Second- if you had found it, you wouldn't be scrolling through all those messages, you'd only be focused on hers."

"Tou-freaking-che!" Lisa smiled at her very observant friend. She then added: "Yeah, no she's probably very busy right now and she probably didn't have a chance to see it."

"You didn't mention to her that you were going to take photos of her concert on your birthday?" Chaeyoung was surprised.

"I thought it would be corny..."

No, you thought that she wouldn't get excited about your birthday as much as you imagined she would..."

"Chae... please stop living in my head."

"Lisa.. Please stop lying then." The two smiled at each other as Lisa sat down next to Chaeng to show her the video.

"Wow... Yeah... Not my best performance."

"Okay, wow, who's lying now?" Lisa teased Chaeng. "You were drunk, high on adrenaline in a loud bar with like, who knows how many people... This angle was awful of me but I was drunk so it looks all weird... You chose one of Irene's songs and sounded amazing!" Lisa tried to convince Chaeng. She then realized something:

"Chaeng... You know how I said I would think of something if you lose our little Irene-related bet?"

"Yes?"

"If I'm proven right that she has no interest in me, I know what I want."

"What?"

"I want you to go to an audition. A singing audition at any of the music companies in Korea-"

"Deal!" Chaeyoung interrupted Lisa and offered a handshake. Lisa was confused but shook her hand anyway. She then asked:

"Wait, why are you so confident that I'll lose?"

"I just am. Plus, if you actually don't lose, I'll get to do something fun so... There's no harm in that."   

"Oh yeah, and let's not forget, bagels are still included."
