*Sorry it's been so long. School and stuff has kept me from writing. I am really getting into this, maybe another upload tomorrow if you like it?

-Familiar Strangers-

[Ethan POV]

“What the hell are you doing here?” He only came around when he was in trouble.

“It’s good to see you too, Ethan. Now are you going to tell me who this incredibly beautiful girl laying half naked on the floor is?” Why did he have to sound like such a gentleman?

My head whipped down to look at Avery only to realize she was now standing, hiding behind my back. Her cheeks were flushed red, was she blushing because of my brother?

“I’m Avery. You can call me Av. But who are you?” Her voice was surprisingly calm considering the scene around us.

“Ouch, that hurts. You mean my brother here hasn’t told you about me? Well gee I wonder why?” Still no answer to her lingering question, good.

“Oh yes I wonder why.” I said.

“Ethan, shut up.” She snapped at me. “Now who the hell are you?”

“I am the drunk, the one who is always in trouble, the mysterious one. The most hated in the family because I am such a letdown. I am the son who doesn’t exist because he is so... hmm how do I put this nicely? Bad?”

Av slowly moved out from behind me during his long drag on of a story. She still didn’t have a shirt on and it was making me uncomfortable, I am impressed though that his eyes never left hers.

“It can’t be that bad, whatever you have done. You don’t seem all that bad.” Really, give me a barf bag please!

“Oh no you see I am the bad boy. The person who Eth used to look up too. The guy all the girls want because they think I am some man whore who likes slutty girls. No, I don’t like slutty girls.” I snickered at his description of himself. “Shut up brother. You’re not perfect either. If mom and dad saw you right now, god you would be dead. You were practically doing it in the middle of the living room, they thought I was bad.”

“Kadin shut the hell up right F-ing now! You have no right to come in here and do this! How do you even have a key?”

“Kadin? I like it… So are you as charming as the name leads on?” Was I hearing her right?

“Av what are you doing?”

“I am giving him a chance, it’s more than you seem to be doing and he is your own brother! Why didn’t you ever tell me you had a brother? I thought I could trust you Ethan, and you lied to me. I don’t know if I can do this.” She finished in a rush, body parts were flying everywhere during her rant, including her chest in her very lacy bra.

I hadn’t even realized I was in la la land until Kadin spoke up, “Wait, do what?”

Ignoring him I took my turn to speak, “What are you talking about Av? What can’t you do?”

“I thought I knew you… But clearly I don’t know you as well as I thought I did. Because the Ethan that I know doesn’t disown his own family and treat them like shit. The Ethan I thought I loved doesn’t scream and yell in people’s faces. He is kind and loving, not mean and threatening.” She turned from me with tears in her eyes, picked up her shirt off the floor and ran up the stairs.

“Bro that was just plain mean. What were you 2 doing when I got here? Cause whatever it was means nothing now.” He turned and went to move toward the stairs.

I grabbed him by the back of his leather jacket, and slammed him against the wall at the bottom of the stairs.

“You will not follow her; she isn’t your next meal. She is a human being.”
