-You Have a What Now?-

{Avery’s POV}

It’s been 3 weeks since the showdown with Ethan occurred. Needless to say Kadin had been very supportive, up until two weeks ago when he got this phone call.

I didn’t know if I should be worried or not. I mean it seemed like all he did was keep me busy between 9 in the morning till around 10 or 11 at night and then I would be returned home or to Kadily’s.

I had been staying with her because my parents were not too thrilled with Kadin spending every waking hour with me when they didn’t even know who he was.

They were very reluctant to let me leave with him the first couple of times. I mean I guess I understand why they are torn between letting me go and keeping me on house arrest.

This stranger comes from nowhere, puts a smile on their daughters face day after day, and is a complete gentleman. Oh wait, sorry I don’t understand after all.

Currently I was in my room packing a suitcase full of clothes and a duffle bag of absolute necessities. Why? Because I was breaking out of this house, I haven’t seen the outside world in 3 days. My parents have gone nuts.

Kadin called every day, multiple times a day. His voice always filled with guilt, sympathy, and concern.

Last night on the phone he offered to help me out, like break out. Of this house, thank god.

So that’s why I am packing. My mom is at the store and my dad is at work. Both will be gone until at least 4. Which means that I have at least 3 ½ hours to do this.

Kadin was coming as soon as I have him the call. He has been waiting in his car 4 blocks away.

I need better packing skills, I have enough stuff for a year. Well who knows how long until I will be back.

I gathered my bathroom stuff and shoved it in the duffle. I unplugged my straightener and shoved it in the bag as well along with my brush and hair dryer.

I did a quick scan through of the room. Looks like I have everything I need. As I called Kadin to give him the ok, I realized my phone charger was hanging out of the outlet by my bed. I turned back and grabbed it along with my laptop that was tucked under my pillow.

Woops how did I forget that?

Kadin picked up the phone, said he was out front and hung up. I heard the front door open and feet patter up the stairs. He entered my room with a light tap on the door and grabbed my 500lb bags.

Swiftly pecking me on the lips he ushered me down the stairs and into the car still not uttering a single word.

His car door quietly shuts and I am suddenly being attacked from the other side of the car.

Kadin had snuck an arm around my waist and pulled me to him. I was greeted with a rough, slow kiss that blew me away. Wow how long has it been?

“Hi.” Kadin whispered into my ear as he trailed kisses down my neck.

It sent a chill through my body and I think Kadin noticed.

“Well hello to you to. Did someone miss me?” I smiled as I felt the vibration of his laugh against my shoulder.

“Miss you? That’s an understatement. I have been dying to see those gorgeous eyes look at me.”

A blush crept its way onto my cheeks as he adjusted himself back into his own chair.

Locking my seatbelt into place we began on our adventure.
