TW: R e m u s (the next book i write will definitely either be Demus or Intrulogical cuz writing Remus into this story is fun lmao), Janus being a prick

I walked with Roman and Remus to school, ignoring the dull pain throughout my body as best as I could. After about 15 minutes we made it to the school and because we were a few minutes early we stayed waiting inside for Patton and Logan to arrive.

After we stood to the side for a few minutes students began walking into the school in a large mass from their buses. After looking through the sea of students from where we stood I finally spotted Logan, who was taller than most of the teens around him. Roman waved him over and he slipped through the crowd and made it over to us.

"Hey nerdy wolverine!" Remus shouted, despite Logan being no more than 2 feet away.

Logan sighed, seemingly annoyed and muttered something under his breath as he adjusted his glasses. "Salutations, Remus. You as well, Roman and Virgil."

"Wow, annoyed already, Logan? I think that's a new record!" Roman said teasingly.

"Falsehood. I am bothered the exact moment I see either you or Remus because I already know you both take pride in causing me to be exasperated."

The twins made mirrored overdramatic poses with a hand clutching their chest in mock pain. I chuckled softly at their antics as I watched them dramatically defending themselves.

"Now Logan, you should know that we are your most amazingest bestest friends and we would never ever do such a thing!" Roman said defensively.

"I am offended my own friend would say such things about me and my brother!" Remus added.

Logan stared at the twins for a few seconds with an unreadable expression. "Firstly," he began after adjusting his glasses once more, "'amazingest' and 'bestest' are definitely not real words. Second, you both are so dramatic that it figuratively pains me. Third, you are annoying me right this second on purpose."

Just as they were about to continue annoying him, Logan was spared by the arrival of Patton, who skipped over and wrapped him in a hug. A faint blush could be seen on Logan's face when he saw that it was Patton who had embraced him.

"Just fuck already," Remus said quietly, just loud enough for me and Roman to hear, causing us to laugh.

"Morning Lo! Morning kiddos!" Patton exclaimed happily.

"Mornin' padre."

"Hey daddy," Remus said with a wink. (Patton ignored this comment)

"H-hey Patton," I said a bit quieter.

We talked for a bit to pass the time before we needed to head to our respective classes. During this time the twins succeeded in annoying Logan once more, being flicked by Patton every so often whenever they would cuss. Soon enough we departed at the sound of the late bell, and I left with Roman and Remus to the gym.

I felt my anxiety spike as I remembered that Janus was also in this class with me. My heartbeat quickened as I walked into the locker room and once again changed in the bathroom stall. I left the stall hesitantly and as I stepped out I felt myself grow pale as I met Janus' gaze. He was leaning against the wall in the bathroom area next to the sinks. He smirked upon seeing me and approached the stall.

Unsure of what else to do I quickly shut the stall and locked it, hugging myself protectively. "L-leave me a-alone, J-Janus."

He laughed me from outside of the stall. "Baby, I came here just for you. Why would I leave?"

He leaned down and crawled under the stall door as I backed away as far as I could. A tear ran down my cheek as I stood frozen with fear.

Why? Why is this happening all over again? I thought that I would at least be free from him when we moved. Do I just deserve this?

"Don't worry, I won't kiss you. Yet~. I'm just here to talk about what happened yesterday."

I felt the fear grow inside of me at his words. I kept repeating the same questions in my mind, questioning why I had to endure this. Why me?

"I-I-I'm s-sorry..." I replied as I began crying fearfully.

"Stop crying." He hissed as he slapped me harshly. I gasped at the slap and willed the tears to stop falling from my eyes. Just as he raised his arm to slap me again the stall door flung open, the lock snapping off.

There stood Remus with a murderous glint in his eyes. "Oh~," he began, "so you're the prick Roman was telling me about. I see his punch left a bruise. Don't worry, though, it'll heal." He paused to smirk and continued, "I wouldn't mind leaving a few scars, though."

Janus seemed to tense up and slowly lowered his arm. Roman suddenly came up behind Remus. Janus appeared slightly nervous, which he tried to play off as best he could.

"Whatever," he hissed, shoving past the twins towards the lockers. As he left I let out the breath I was apparently holding and stepped out of the stall hesitantly.

"Th-thanks for that.."

"No problem, emo! I kinda wanted to cut him anyways."

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you at all?" Roman looked at me with eyes full of concern. I shook my head hoping to ease his worry.

"Are you certain?" He continued to look at me with worry.

I gave a small smile, a bit happy that someone seemed to be so worried about me.

For now. Until they all ditch you.

I sighed, pushing those thoughts away for now. "I-I'm sure, j-just a little shaken u-up."

"Alright then, if you say so. Are you guys ready to head to gym then?"

I gave him a small nod and Remus agreed with a loud "Fuck yeah!"
