Flashback:

Four Months Ago:

Zara was working in this hospital for about one month now and she liked it. It wasn't as big as previous one but she was getting experience and that was enough for now. She will go to some better place in future.

She sometimes thought of applying outside India but can't do that. She was really comfortable in her own country and wanted to contribute to it the best she could. Not that she some saviour of humanity but she could at least try to be human.

In this one month not a single day passed when she didn't think about Kabir and every time she did, she prayed for him. Her father once told her, if you want to help someone but can't do it because of any reasons, then pray for them. Almighty will help them better than we can do as humans.

So that's what she was doing, praying for him so that he recovers soon. She knew that by now he must be back on his feet. She was sure that now that his sweetie pie was with him, he would be well taken care of.

But still thinking about him left a longing in her heart, a desire of unfulfilled crush may be. May be it was because she has liked him for such a long time and was habituated to talk to him every day when he was in coma. But she felt as if she got her closure. Now she could finally move forward. Just few more months without seeing his face and then hopefully he will be gone from her mind.

She was in OPD checking some patients when she got a message about a small briefing. May be some new staff was joining today. She remembered her briefing session and it felt little awkward because no one looked really interested. Well, she can't change them but she will be the change she wants to see. She will smile and greet politely the newly joined doctor.

What's the harm in smiling and greeting someone? Anyways she needs friends in this place as they were tightly knitted group and she still felt like an outsider. There was one guy, Arun from radiology who appeared friendly, sometimes over friendly...

Now she wasn't the best judge of human behaviour but she could understand where this was going and she was sure that she didn't like him in that way or any other way. So she avoided like you avoid some deathly virus.

Anyways she decided to attend the briefing and welcome new doctor, with a smile.

Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined the new doctor to be...

Him!

Dr. Kabir Shah.

The one and only man who creates havoc in her senses. It was good to see him back on his feet but his recovery meant her distress.

Her nervous system, respiratory system and cardiovascular system... All three of them get affected by him. Don't even get her started on Endocrine system; it was completely a different story! Her hormones were a mess.

Forget about the smile, she felt as if she can't even breathe when she saw him smiling and greeting everyone.

Fate really was testing her, tempting her so badly. Out of all hospitals he could join, why here?

Why dangling a carrot in front of her like donkey and send her on wild chase? Why?

She can't even run now. She just joined the hospital and she can't resign before completing six months contract.
