Fly

Prologue

I took a deep breath and bit my lip. This was it. I didn't come this high up for nothing. I was going to jump.

It wasn't my fault. I knew that i was under a curse. I was cursed to have a really bad life. I just knew it.

My parents were kind, but they yelled a lot. They still loved me, i just wasn't reminded very often. At school, i have no friends. Nobody seems to acknowledge that i even go to that school! My parents said that i can't transfer schools, unless extremely necessary.

I felt the cool breeze against my body. The wind seemed to be pushing me the opposing way, as if it wanted me not to jump. Not to commit suicide.

I was going to, and nothing could stop me now. I had to do it, i deserved to do it.

I double checked to make sure that nobody else was around. I looked down. It was a long fall. I would land, god knows where.

I tried to jump, but my i didn't let myself. I started holding myself back. My mind was debating on whether I should jump or not.

Tessa, you shouldn't jump. You will eventually find hope.

"No, jump. Nobody will ever love you."

Think this through twice.

"Just go, and jump. You didn't come up here for nothing!"

Don't do it.

"Jump!"

Don't do it!

"Jump!"

The voices in my head were confusing me, and i had no clue what to do. I knew that i had to decide quickly. Seemingly out of nowhere, i took a deep breath, closed my eyes and jumped off the cliff.

On the way down, I realized that I shouldn't have jumped. I had so much more time to live, and I threw it all away! Why did i do that?! I was stupid! What about everyone who loves me, such as my family? They will never see me again!!

I screamed, desperately hoping that I would be heard. I was about to hit the ground, when I felt a sudden change in my body. I didn't hit the ground, it almost felt like i was going back up.

That's impossible though, it's like flying! I quickly opened my eyes and my jaw dropped when I saw that I was flying through the air, soaring through the sky.

I went in circles looping through the sky, and I went around and around, all over the place. I flew a bit slower, and then I landed safely in the middle of nowhere.

My mind was completely boggled. No human can fly... right?! Only birds! Wait, was i a bird? I checked to see. Nope, i was a human... i was a human that could fly? I COULD FLY?!

Holy. Guacamole.
