Tedros fingered his ring, his mind wandering towards far and distant thoughts. His guards looked at him worriedly, he didn't talk for the past three hours, instead he stared out of the window with a blank face.
He finally got out of his chair, not having touched his breakfast and trudged absent mindedly up the stairs to his and Agatha's quarters and sat in the study. The fire roared in the fireplace and he couldn't help but think of what would happen if he threw his ring there.
Agatha would surely be annoyed at him, but she gets annoyed at him for anything really. All his friends would be annoyed at him, but they would come around soon enough. He could bring Chaddick back from the dead, no one can oppose that and his rule would be smooth and he wouldn't actually have to do a thing!
One single choice and everything would change. One jerk of his arm and he could do anything he wanted. One line and anything would come true.
Tedros was torn between doing it or not. After all, this was what that rat Rhian and that snake Japeth was after and he can't possibly turn into his enemy. But they wanted to rule the whole woods, he just wanted to rule Camelot, just like he was born to do.
Who knows what they would do with that power?! By the end of the week, the whole endless woods would be in shambles, and the line between good and evil would disappear once more.
But who knows what he would do with that power? Camelot would be thriving by the next day and no one would ever doubt him again. No one.
Reaper slinked into the study and started chewing on the hem of his cloak. Tedros didn't even notice, he was far too busy with his mind and war with his heart on what to do.
Fast forward five minutes and Reaper had attacked all of Tedros' clothes. By then Tedros had come to a conclusion on what to do. He would burn the ring.
Without a second thought, he launched it into the air and everything seemed to go in slow motion from then on. The ring did a couple of spins in mid air before making a clinking sound as it hit the grate and slid in. Tedros watched mesmerised as the ring went out in a puff of smoke and was no more.
He was now the One True King and he was unstoppable. Enemies, beware.

He sat back down on his chair and with jittery nerves decided what to do first. He decided that he would start small and go bigger and bigger.
On a piece of parchment he wrote:
Agatha walks into the study and sits next to Tedros
Now all that's left to do is to wait for that to happen. Many minutes passed and there was still no sign of Agatha. Where was the powers of the One True King? It didn't go to someone else, right?
(Sorry this is short I'll try and make the next one longer!)
