Sophie was half way through her skin care routine before everything crumbled. All her creams and lotions fell to the ground and broke and spread on the floor. Ignoring her chalet going to pieces in the Camelot countryside, she cowered over them, trying to salvage whatever creams are still left. Surprisingly, that room was left intact, unlike the rest of her house.

Hort was out in town, to buy groceries but Sophie highly doubted that he could do that now. She had no idea what was happening, but what she did know was that she might never be able to make replacement creams just like these, they were one of a kind.

Agatha stormed into Tedros's study, just after everything went to hell.

"What happened?" she said. She turned to look at his ring finger and the fireplace. "You idiot! You-"

"Aggie, please listen-"

"Why should I listen to you? We spent years trying to stop this from happening, and you just did that exact thing! What happened to knightly Tedros? The Lion, the one who'd do anything for good?" she fumed.

"Agatha-"

"I don't need this right now." she huffed.

"Just listen to me."

"What do you have to say that is so important?"

"I, I don't have the powers."

"What?!"

"I'm not the One True King."

Amidst the rubble, Dovey stood still in shock. This had to be a mistake, right? Why would she be the one true king, her of all people?! She was sure that this is a mistake, and Lesso must be mistaken.

She was old, had back problems and was losing her touch. One day she'd walk into class and teach them things that they already know, until someone would point out that they already did this.

She insisted that Lady Lesso got up and she looked at Dovey as if she's missing something.

"The Storian." Lesso whispers.

"It happened didn't it? Tedros burned his ring."

"Yes, that stupid child. Come, the tower is the only part of school that isn't damaged in any way."

They walked to the tower, through the mounds of rubble while helping students along the way. Dovey suggested bringing the other teachers too but Lesso said that they should wait.

Once they got there, there was a different sight than what Lady Lesso first saw (the cards), instead there was one hundred pictures of the ring with an 'x' on them. If they didn't get the point then, they certainly got it now.

Dovey walked towards the table and asked "Where's the story that the Storian was writing?"

"I think it's gone, well it's not on the table at least."

"Yeah, it's not on the table, it's on the shelf." Dovey said while walking towards the bookshelf and picking out a book titled

The baker's girl

She flicked to the last page and read it aloud.

"I, The Storian am not here to carry on writing the tale of The Baker's Girl, but there's another tale that will unfold. A ring was burned, but the powers transferred to the unlikely. That is not the only important event that is happening. Someone's ready for vengeance, a person with deep roots in the past. They are ready to do anything for their late loved ones. There's a three line gap, and then it says Go to Camelot, now."

"The Storian just made the first step in the new fairy tale, our fairy tale. It only does that if it's urgent. We have to go."

"What about the students?"

"You left them before to help the children, you can do it again."

"Okay, I'll get Princess Uma to arrange a carriage."

Hester, Anadil and Dot got up and surveyed the damage. Nottingham (they lived in the late Sheriff's house) wasn't hit too hard, only Camelot, the school and Foxwood bore the brunt of it all. But that doesn't mean they weren't affected at all. The damage was still devastating and many would have to be rehomed. It was a couple hours after and the newspaper reports flew in and the Royal Rot said that Tedros burned his ring, they got this information from their 'correspondants', but they all knew that that was nothing but pure hogwash. They also said that Professor Dovey got the powers instead of Tedros, which is as about as far-fetched as it gets!

Dot turned some pieces of rubble into chocolate without realising and ate it while looking around. Hester sent off her demon to find out how hard Nottingham was hit and kicked through the rubble of the cottage, saving ornaments beneath the piles, with Anadil soon following suit.

Not long after, Hester's demon flew back with a piece of parchment in its mouth. Hester motioned it to come down and Anadil and Dot huddled around Hester as they looked in it.

The handwriting was familiar, but they couldn't place where they saw it. It said Go to Camelot, now. Everything you've just read on the news is true, there's nothing more to say. But there's more than just that to worry about. Someone deep rooted in the past is on their way, and they will do anything for vengeance.

"Camelot it is." Hester said. Dot looked like she was going to contradict, but after looking at the steely gaze in Hester's eyes, she thought better. "Let's saddle up the horses." and she walked off to the stables, leaving Anadil and Dot to follow.
