Chapter One
Laryn's POV
After I unlock the room of the apartment, I throw my keys on the table and close the door loudly. More like slamming the door. I had a really rough day as the new rep and I need to let out steam.
I needed to visit Grant and Calla. They were planning on their first outside-the-compound date soon. Maybe to look beyond the fence.
I put on comfier clothes from when I was 16, a year ago, which surprisingly still fit, and leave the apartment, almost forgetting my keys.
Being a representative of Dauntless is as hard as I imagined. You don't do anything fighting wise. It's just talking about what we think would be beneficial for our own Factions. Helena, a Candor, who transferred as Erudite, always sees the negative of everything. She was immediately on my hate list. She would not shut up about how she thought the Abnegation weren't contributing enough to the Factionless, and that she thought the Abnegation were going against their Faction laws.
As I get down to the Pit, I see them and smile. As they smile back, I make my way over to where they were standing.
"How are the other representatives?" Grant asked.
"Not good," I reply. "Apparently Candor thinks that Abnegation are defying their Faction laws and keeping more than they're saying."
"I'll bet it's just a lie," Calla says. "Just to give the Faction attention, or just something to put in the paper. They give more than enough to the Factionless anyways."
"Even if it was," I reply. "It's going to give Abnegation a lower reputation for the upcoming initiation, which could lead to forcing initiates to Abnegation and Amity to balance the population."
"Really?" Grant asked.
"Unless we have a giving generation," I said. "They might just have to."
"They could just design new tests," Calla says. "But it'd still be as effective. Just list the order of what Factions you'd rank."
"So you'd only have to rule out the last two," Grant added.
"They're working on some new serum in Erudite," I say. "They're trying it on the Candors, they'd be honest about the serum and what it does."
"What's the serum going to do?" Calla asked. "The Erudite already have more of them then they can handle."
"I know," I said. "But it's supposed to be to expand brain capacity, so they can make newer Erudite initiates smarter."
"Well," Grant said. "They sure know how to rub it in how intelligent they are. You want to come with us to eat?"
"Sure," I said and I walked with them down to eat with them.

Third Person
At the end of the day, an outside vehicle had entered the wall through a concealed door, so hidden that not even an Erudite could be smart enough to find it. Near the Abnegation houses in the middle of the Factions, the van had come to an abrupt stop. This car wasn't like an ordinary Faction car, in fact, could even beat the upgrades of Jeanine Matthew's car. The jet black car had no headlights, but maneuvered easily in the midnight sun [a/n if you don't get this right away, it means the moon from my perspective. In some areas, I know the sun is actually up at midnight. Just know that in this sense it means the moon.] There were lights that surrounded the windshield, but were faint enough to still drive easily. The doors also lifted, not like an ordinary day-to-day vehicle.
Whoever the driver was, they had shut off the machine and exited the car. While he was walking away, another figure exited the car. It was a boy, in his teens, about fifteen or sixteen.
The two males walked into an Abnegation home, making sure that it was the right one first. Another car had already taken the teen boy that lived inside away, they were now replacing him with a look-alike. The look-alike then navigated his way into the room to where he was to live until his mission was completed, followed by the driver.
The driver told the look-alike some more information about the Factions and where he was supposed to report in the morning. The look-alike nodded, and the driver left him and drove back through the gate undetected.
Okay, welcome back guys! Welcome book two!
