I sat down on my favourite couch making myself comfortable in the parlor.  I was  watching Fashion one on the TV.
I raise my hand with the remote control  in it.  I press a button to increase the volume of the TV a little.

In a short while a knock sounds  on the  door. I sit down for a while to be sure if someone was actually knocking , the knock comes again.  This time it is an  increased  intensity.
"I'm coming! "I yell walking towards the door wondering who it may be.

I turn the door knob slowly opening it half way to see who it is. A small smile creeps on my face  at seeing her. It's  Dora Edith's friend. I rapidly hug her after opening the door wider. Dora grinned hugging me back. 

"Welcome,  sis  Dora. " I welcomed  her meekly.  "Thank you Kaima."  She speak softly as I lock the door.
She was one of Edith's close friends, one of those I really admired.
They were friends since childhood. They attended same school  from kindergarten and now they were both in the same  university and she too was a final year student.

She sat on a sofa. "Sis, what would  you like to have?" I face her squarely, a smile touches the corner of her mouth." Water will be fine." She replied  sounding genuinely satisfied.

I return back to the sitting room with a tray with bottle water and a glass cup. I open  the bottle and pour out some water into the glass. "How is school? "I ask her making her to turn her gaze from the TV to me. "School is fine dear. What about your parents! " She enquired taking a sip of water from the glass cup.

"They are all  fine." I answered smiling. "How about school, when will you finish your exams?" She asked  slowly drinking  water from the glass cup this time around. I chuckle lightly at her question. "School is  fine, I am through with my exams. My graduation would be coming up soon." I said grinning from ear to ear.

"Oh, congrats dear. So it is to eat rice in your graduation that  is  remaining. Congrats!" She smiled at me her perfect teeth peeking out from behind her lips. We discuss a little about other random things.

"Okay, I would be going now. "She says picking her purse from her side. "My regards to everyone, I would come back soon." She hugs me and pat my  back. "Bye !" I say before I shut the door behind her.

I unlock my phone with my fingerprint. It opens automatically bringing out all the apps on display . I scroll through the apps before I finally tap on WhatsApp. It  loads before it opens. A pinging sound can be heard as notifications start pouring  in.  I click on Unique friends, the group chat I and my friends had created.

Benita : Hi guys

Rachel . Hi Beni

Benita: How far?

Rachel: I am fine

is Eddy?

Me : I'm here o

Benita:  This one you're scarce on line these days ..
 

Rachel : It's true o, how are you?

Me: I am doing fine. Nice hearing
from you guys.

Benita: Yes o.

Rachel: Any gist?
