Chapter Two

“Please don’t report this to Isabela. I will handle it first, no need to panic.”

“Copy, sir.”

Are they going to lock me in a dungeon?

“Pakawalan niyo ako! Ano ba’ng ginawa ko sa inyo?!” I tried to loosen up the chain in my wrist, but of course, I can't.

I thought he’s good. Good looking lang siya, but now, he’s a cruel person in my eyes. Bigla nalang may nagpaamoy sa’kin ng pampatulog kanina, at nagising nalang ako nang ipasok na nila ako sa madilim na kulungan na ito. It’s separated into two floors, but the dim light on the ceiling lighted up the whole area. There’s a bridge from the upper floor to connect the left side and the right side. At the end of the chamber, there’s an open large double doors with stairs leading to the upper floor. Humanoids, dragons, Minatour, and other creatures suddenly came into my mind.

I shook my head, tinatakot ko lang ang sarili ko.

The area is so cold, my body started to shiver. I can feel that the air move like a cold water in my body. I can also smell the scent of the candles averywhere.

Napangiwi ako nang ipasok na nila ako sa isang room. It’s dark and pestilent, I felt so gloomy and awful. The sound of the door is creaking because of it’s rust. My body started to shake when the man’s eyes narrowed at me. His jaw clenched, adding to the intensity of his gaze.

“I’ll repeat my question again, human. What are you doing here?” he asked, I swallowed hard.

His baritone voice filled the area, pati ang mga kasama niya kanina ay napapaatras. And what did he call me? Human? Isn’t he human too? Ano siya, hayop?

“I’m obviously living here. May iba pa ba akong dapat gawin dito?” pabalang kong sagot, at hindi ko alam kung saan ako nakakuha ng lakas ng loob doon.

He looks so harmless and dangerous at the same time. Mukhang mabait siya tignan, but his voice is deadly. His biceps defined when he crossed his arms over his chest, sumandal lang siya doon sa pader. Samantalang ako ay nakaupo sa lapag habang may kadena sa kamay at paa.

Mayamaya ay napahilot na lamang siya sa kanyang sentido.

“You have no idea where you are, huh?” he stated in a silvery voice.

Ano ba’ng meron sa lugar na ito para sabihin niya iyon?

“Then where am I? Ano ba ang lugar na ito? Bakit walang kainan?” I asked. Iyon talaga ang una kong naitanong dahil 'yon ang nakapukaw sa kuryosidad ko sa lugar na ito.

The side of his lips curved, umayos siya ng tayo at dahan dahan lumapit sa akin. I automatically gulped, my heart is pounding faster than its normal beat while watching him walking closer to me.

I gasped when he held my jaw. Halos magsitayuan lahat ng balahibo ko nang maramdaman kung gaano kalamig iyon. Sobrang magkaiba ang temperatura namin, nilalamig rin ako dito ngunit hindi ganito kalamig sa balat niya ang sa’kin.

My lips parted when he held my arm tightly, pinatayo niya ako at sinandal sa pader, nagulat ako sa sobrang bilis non. Agad ko hinarang ang kanyang dibdib, ngunit tila pinaggigitnaan ako ng dalawang pader ngayon dahil hindi man lang siya natinag sa pagkakatulak ko.

He placed his cold lips on my ear.

“We don’t eat human foods, we only eat human...” he paused a bit, giving me shiver down to my spine. “—like you.”
