For all my Kissing Booth Fans! This story is written to take place after the first movie!
One Year Later
Elle POV
I run my hand through my loose curls looking in the mirror. Satisfied with my look, I dab some lipstick on my lips and called it good. I grabbed my phone and purse and ran downstairs to the car where my dad and brother were waiting.
"About time Elle! If you wouldn't have came any sooner you would have been late to your own graduation!" My dad laughed, making me roll my eyes.
"Yeah, yeah," I reply, "at least I'll be fashionably late. Plus, it didn't help that you guys and Lee were no help when it came to the makeup, then the hair, then the outfit, and the shoes. I should really try to find a girl best friend."
"You look beautiful honey," my dad reassured me, giving me a slight smile. The car goes silent as we pass the cemetery my mom was buried at. I couldn't help but let a few tears fall, wishing she were here with me today. "She would be so incredibly proud of you."
We arrive at the high school just in time. I jolt out of the car adjusting my cap and gown, and rush to where the graduating class was.
.
I couldn't believe I was graduating today. It seemed like just yesterday Lee and I were little kids running around while our moms yelled at us. Those are the memories I would hold forever.
Everyone got situated, and the ceremony finally started. As the principal, guest speakers, superintendent, valedictorian, and so on give their speeches, I got lost in my thoughts.
These past 4 years have been quite the ride. I have changed so much. From the freshman Elle who wore the most modest clothes with no makeup or bra, to junior Elle with a much needed bra and a lot of makeup. All of my firsts happened during high school. First period, first soccer game, first kiss. But most of all, I would remember the kissing booth, I would remember Noah. How could I not?
I'm buzzed out of my thoughts when a teacher told the row I was sitting in that it was almost our turn to walk the stage and grab our diplomas.
As my classmates walk the stage I couldn't help but smile. This may be the last time I ever see them, but hey that's not the worst possible scenario.
"Elle Evans."
I smile walking up the stage. I shake many hands and awkwardly pose for some pictures with my diploma. Goodbye, high school.
I go back to my seat and actually pay attention knowing my favorite part of the whole ceremony was coming up.
"Lee Flynn."
I jump so far in the air, clapping for my best friend. "Atta kid, Lee! I had no doubt!" I scream, "well maybe just a little bit." I see him side eye me from the stage and I couldn't help but smirk. I don't have to worry about missing him, I know we will be besties forever.
Graduation came to a wrap, and all the now graduated students were talking to their family and friends.
I see June, Lee's mom, and she immediately pulls me in for a hug. Her and my mom were best friends, and since she passed, Lee's mom has became my second mom. "Congratulations, sweetheart! I'm so proud of you!" She starts to get tear eyed, making me do the same thing.
"Thank you for everything, the past four years. Or even since I was little."
"Of course, anything for you Elle. But now is not a time to get emotional, it's time to celebrate!"
Lee finally walks up and I embrace him as tight as I can. I finally pull away and we look at each other. In sync we scream, "WE DID IT!"
People around us gave us weird looks, but we didn't care. My dad and brother finally find me in the crowd. "Elle, I have to say.. I had some doubt that this day would come-."
Before he could finish I playfully slap him, as we laugh and hug each other. My little brother, Brad, continues to argue with me how he is smarter with me when suddenly I got distracted.
"Congats, little bro."
I knew that voice. I was in love with that voice, but that voice broke my heart. Noah Flynn. Holding my emotions together, I finally looked over my shoulder. There he stood. I should've known he was going to be here. I mean, obviously, it was his little brother graduating.
Nothing about him has changed. He was still the cute, tall Noah I last saw when he flew to Boston. My heart dropped when I notice nothing about him has changed, except for the fact his arm was wrapped around a beautiful blonde.
.
As soon as we get to the Flynn's house for Lee and I's graduation party, I start drinking. Why am I so upset over this? We broke up a year ago, we haven't talked for a year and I haven't seen his face in over a year. He moved on, and so did I.
Maybe it's because the last time I did see him face to face, we were in fact together. Then a year later, we have nothing to do with each other. I spot them in the crowd dancing, with their mouths all over each other.
I couldn't help but cringe thinking Noah was back to his old ways. Or maybe he wasn't back to his old ways. What if he didn't retreat back to being a player? What if he is in love with this girl and not me? What if I'm still in love with him?
To clear my thoughts, I continue to drink. My dad left the party about an hour ago, and told me to be responsible. I would be dead if he saw me now. I'm too far in now. I'm a couple shots and beers in, and I could definitely feel it.
I spot Lee and try my best to walk over to him without falling. "Leeeeee! My bestieeeeee!" I hug him, mainly so I could keep my balance. "This is the best party EVER! Do you want a shot? I think we should take some shots!" I grab two shots from a person walking by and immediately down them both.
"Woah, woah, Elle. You are wasted, like really wasted," a concerned Lee says.
"Pff, no I am not! Even if I was, who cares? This is our party!"
"I think I should take you upstairs-."
"You're not taking me anywhere unless it's to get more drinks," I giggle. He rolls his eyes. "Fine, party pooper," I pout. "Let me be, I'm fine." He sighs in defeat but finally actually listens to me.
In the mood to dance, I head over to where the center of the dancing crowd was at. Taking turns dancing with people, suddenly one of my classmates starting grinding up against me, and at the state I was in, I started grinding up against him. He started to kiss my neck, and just I was about to pull away, I made eye contact with Noah. Seeing the jealousy in his face and his fist clenched I couldn't help but smirk. I continue to let him kiss along my neck, and then I moved his lips to mine, making out with him.
The unknown classmate whispered in my ear, "wanna finish the skinny dipping you never did from last year?"
Without hesitation, I find Noah in the crowd, and I made sure he was looking at me. I stripped to my underwear and jumped in the pool.
I can't remember much after that. I remember feeling super sick and making my way to a bathroom, but after that it is a blur.
