Elle POVI was sitting in Noah's bed, with my knees up to my chest. I rocked back and forth as Lee's last words were on repeat in my head.
I'm not pregnant.
I'm not pregnant.
I would know if I was pregnant. I felt fine this morning, so surely the bug I must've caught has gone away.
But if I was pregnant, I wouldn't be able to know for another week, since that's when I start my period- or am supposed to at least. Unless I gained the courage to take a pregnancy test-.
"Looks who's finally awake, Shelly." Noah walked out of the bathroom, fresh out of the shower, with a towel wrapped around his waist.
The truth was, I've been awake all night as my thoughts took over my head.
"So, I figured since it's your last day in Boston before we head over to New York, we should get wild in the sheets all day, and only stop occasionally," he smirked, sending me a wink. I returned a slight chuckle. "It was only a joke, Elle." He put his hand on my back and started to rub.
"No, I know," I laughed, trying to make it sound believable. I paused for a second, thinking. "Hey Noah, can I ask you a question?"
"Of course, babe. What is it?" He stood up and started to rummage through his drawers for clothes.
"When we do get wild in the sheets, do you always use protection?" I blurted, not knowing how else to word it.
"Always, Elle. How come?" He was clearly concerned, but finished getting dressed so he could sit next to me.
I lightly chuckled. "No reason, just wondering. I had a dream you got me knocked up and I just got curious."
Thankfully, Noah fell for it. "Some dream got you all in your feels?" He laughed.
"No, it didn't," I rolled my eyes standing up. "I'm going to go take a shower so we can get our day started." I kissed him softly on the lips before walking into the bathroom.
"Wait, Elle!" Noah stopped me in my tracks. I turned around to look at him. "In a couple years I'll put a ring on it, then knock you up." He gave me one last smirk before heading out of his room.
His comment did make me feel warm and giddy inside. But all I could think is possibly telling Noah a couple years is now.
I wasn't going to ruin my last day in Boston about something I probably shouldn't even be worrying about- for now.
.
I finished up the final touches on my makeup right as Noah walked in. "Really, Elle?" I looked over at him and he eyed me up and down. "Who are you trying to impress?" He smiled, leaning against the doorway crossing his arms.
"I mean the man next door is kinda cute." I playfully played along, making Noah raise his eyebrows.
"Oh, Joe? You better not break his heart, and I mean it. That 70 year olds heart might just actually break," he laughed, checking himself out in the mirror.
"Hey, now!" I threw one of my brushes at him causing him to yelp. "Oh, stop being a baby."
"I'll stop being a baby when I actually get some food in my system. So, in other words Elle, get your not so little booty ready so we can start walking."
"We are walking?" I questioned. I wasn't opposed to it, just would rather prefer driving.
"I can't risk you throwing up in my car Elle. You seem to be doing that a lot lately," I gave him the
look and he quickly spoke again, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding Elle. It's not like it's a brand new BMW or anything, no biggie," he cried.
