Since I delayed posting till yesterday, I figured I'd do two in a row:)Elle POV
The next morning I woke up with a nauseous feeling in my stomach. Within seconds I was in the bathroom throwing up the dinner from last night. I hoped not to wake Noah, but sighed in defeat when there was a couple knocks in the door.
"Can I come in, babe?" Noah said in a groggy voice.
"One second." I flushed the toilet and wiped my mouth off before pulling my hair back into a pony. "Okay, you're good."
Although the tiredness on Noah was very apparent, so was the concern. He grabbed a rag and ran it under the cold water before handing it to me. "Elle, this isn't normal. We need to get you to a doctor so we can start you up on medicine."
"Noah, I'm fine, trust me. It's probably just my weak immune system that's use to California germs, not Boston's," I reassured, scooting back from him. "But if it is contagious, I don't want to give it to you."
"I'm not worried about that, Elle," he exclaimed, hugging me. "But what happens when you keep saying that but it really does turn out to be something bad?"
"Noah, I promise if I start to get concerned, I'll tell you. Then we can go down the path you want to, but for now, I'm okay."
He took a deep breath, nodding his head. "Okay, if that's what you want."
"Now if you don't mind, I need to take a shower," I chuckled. "I kinda smell like-."
"Super bad?" Noah laughed. "I've been trying to hold my breath."
Before he could insult me anymore, I lightly slapped him on the arm. "Hey!" I laughed. "Well get out so I can shower then!"
"If it was any other day I'd shower with you-." I pushed him out of the door, leaving a pouty Noah on the other side.
I stripped down and hopped in the shower, slowly starting to feel better.
.
Today I actually somewhat got ready- putting some skinny jeans on with a loose sweater. Although it was summer in Boston, it's been rainy all week.
I walked out to Noah who was watching some NFL in the living room. He was in some athletic shorts and a sweatshirt, and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw his hands in his pants. "Really, Noah?!" I smiled, picking up a pillow on the couch and throwing it at him.
"Hey, you try being a guy. You'd understand." He returned the smirk and gestured for me to sit next to him, so I did.
"What time is he coming?" I asked, even though I wanted to avoid the subject as much as possible.
"In about 30 minutes. Since I'm the middle man here, I figured I'd go get a workout in with my football coach and let you guys just hang out with the two of you."
"Ugh, Noah! Why? Please just stay," I whined, suddenly in a mood.
"Elle, it's what's best. I don't want get in the way of anything. I'm only 15 minutes away, so if you need anything just call."
"Fine." I gave him a dirty look. "But if we rip each other's throats out, it's on you."
He chuckled. "Okay then, it's on me."
We were interrupted with someone knocking on the door. "Noah! You said we had thirty minutes!"
He stood up, grabbing his athletic bag. "I did too. But you know you and Lee always like to show up early. It's why you're best friends." I groaned, standing up with him. "Are you feeling better?"
