AN: WHOSE READY FOR THIS CHAPTER?? Okay so when I put the little * thing it means Italian, but this chapter is going to get a bit fancy. What that means is that if it's bold and slanted with a *, then it's German. Have fun with that.

~Chapter Seven~

Casanova gave Joseph an unimpressed
look. "I guess I could eat... but where are we going to go?" Casanova smirked as his plan was put into motion. "Well tesoro*, I know of a lovely place not too far from here. It's a great family friendly place called 'Das Kuschelige Entlein*' it translates to something something duckling. What do you say?"

Joseph looked at him with worry evident on his face, so Casanova gave him a sticky sweet smile that often made women swoon. Some of the worry slid off Joseph's face and he replied, "Well, I do like ducklings," Casanova gave a sarcastic little cheer and they were on their way. About an hour later, they came across a slightly run down building, there was a sign out from that said "Das Kuschelige Entlein" with a small translation of The Snuggly Duckling underneath.

Casanova couldn't wait to scare this brat then dump him back at his tower, grab his satchel and be on his way! Surely this would deter Joseph from wanting to go back outside ever again. He slammed open the door and called for their finest table, the light from outside illuminating all the ruffians inside. He felt Joseph stiffen as he started walking in. "Everything is going according to plan so far!" He thought gleefully, to make things worst, he commented on things to make the men seem more threatening.

At one point one of the men grabbed some of Joseph's hair and whispered something in Geraman that he couldn't quite make out. He then turned to Joseph and said, "You know Bionda*, you're not looking that great, maybe we should turn back. You know, if this is too much for you to handle, then imagine how you would be if I took you to the city?! So what do you say? Not ready for the outside afterall? We should be able to get you back to your tower befor-!"

He was cut off before he could get Joseph out the door. A large hand was holding the door shut. It was a rather strong looking man with odd looking hair. He loomed menacingly in the door frame. With a thickly accented voice, he said, "Vell, vell, vell. Vhat have we here? I do belive that this vanted poster with quite a heafty revard belongs to you, young man."

Welp, they were screwed. Casanova desperately tried to play it off and get out the door, but the man remained unmoving. Out of the corner of his eye Casanova could see Joseph go into what looked to be the beginning of a panic attack. Fan-fucking-tastic. This just kept getting better and better! Two men came up from the back and lifted Casanova up as he thrashed about trying to get away. He saw the weird haired man, whom he assumed was the leader, whisper to another man. He soon left out the door. Great, a squealer!

Joseph started to shrink down more and more as the ruffians started to surround him, that was until he saw them trying to rough up Casanova. That caused a surge of defiance and rage to course through him. He quickly punched the nearest ruffian in the face and knock the rest of them away as he made his way to his blonde guide. The man was an ass so far, but he was going to see those lights, damn it!

He finally made his way to where they were holding him and tapped the leader's shoulder as he stood over Casanova with his hand drawn back ready to strike. When he turned around he definitely didn't expect to get sucker punched in the face by the seemingly weak boy. He stumbled back, clutching his face. The others hesitated but backed away as well.

"Please, we didn't come looking for trouble! We just came to get some food for our travels!" The men looked at them with narrowed eyes but didn't make any moves so Joseph continued on. "Please, just let us go. We mean no harm! This man is helping me to get somewhere, I really need him. He's my escort. I'm begging you, if you have no quarrel with this man, then please let us go. If not, I will use force."

The man with strange hair started laughing, which in return caused all the other men to burst out in hearty pearls of laughter as well. Joseph slowly edged closer to Casanova and got out his clackers while getting into a defensive position. Casanova was mildly impressed at how Joseph remained calm and ready to strike.

The man finally stopped laughing and looked Joseph directly in the eye. "You, junge*, are quite brave to speak to us in such a manner. However, I found it quite amusing. It is not often ve are challenged by an outsider such as yourself. Tell me, what is your name?" Joseph took a small step forward and lowered his clackers slightly before replying. "Joseph. I'm assuming you already know my guide's, so what, might I ask, is yours?" The man gave a toothy grin. "Stroheim, Rudol von Stoheim. It's a pleasure." He extended his hand which Joseph hesitantly took and gave a firm shake.

Casanova stared on with an unbelieving look on his face. "Did this Hermit really just make friends with a bunch of German ruffians? He said he'd never been out of his tower!" Casanova kept his eyes on Joseph as Stroheim led him around and introduced him to others in the bar. After a while everyone was smiling and laughing, people were even picking up Joseph's hair and delicately moving it out of the way. "Who was this boy?"

Tesoro/Sweetheart
Das Kuschelige Entlein/The Snuggly Duckling
Bionda/Blondie
Junge/Boy

AN: I was actually super excited for this chapter. They only people I could think of for the ruffians in the Battle Tendecy universe was the Germans, they are so similar! Next chapter we go back to Kars. So blegh.
