AN: Yo, how is everyone? Thanks for checking out this story and getting this far!! I'm thinking of trying to draw fanart for this, but then I remembered that I can't draw so... Another heads up, I went back and took out the part where Joseph gets slapped and giant hand print bruise forms on his face. I just had Caesar find the handprint on his wrists. ;)
Joseph continued to cry in Caesar's arms. Caesar just held him close and whispered sweet nothings in his ear until the sobs tapered into occasional sniffles. He looked up at Caesar with dewy eyes. "Thank you, for everything" Caesar blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well of course, anything for you bion- Jojo. Anything at all" Jojo blushed at that and Caesar chuckled awkwardly. After a few moments of silence, Caesar cleared his throat and said, "Well I guess I should go and get some more firewood, so we don't, well, run out. So yes, I will be back,"
AN: Shit, I forgot to do the part with Kars. Alright y'all we're going to do a little bit of time travel. So we're going back to Kars POV, when he makes his way to the Snuggly Duckling and is being a creeper and such. This was when Jojo and Caesar had been in there for a bit, so after the whole ruffian ordeal. The part where they were making friends. Yes so sorry.
Kars had been walking for about 15 minutes before he stumbled across the Snuggly Duckling restaurant, he was about to walk past when he heard a commotion inside. Peering through a window he saw none other than Joseph sitting at the bar chatting it up with a small group of people gathered around him.
He looked happier than Kars had ever seen him, not a good sign. He was about to go in and grab him when he saw some members of the imperial guard approaching. He quickly hid in either a bush or a shadow (his dramatic ass probably merged with the shadows). He watched as they entered and seemingly the owner of the restaurant herded Joseph and the wanted thief he must be using as an "escort" behind the bar into a, tunnel? Interesting.
He then saw two rather large and intimidating men in chains being led in. Odd. The guards interrogated most of the men when something even more odd happened. The imperial horse with no rider busted into the restaurant and shoved people aside while sniffing across the floor, not unlike a blood hound. Eventually the horse approached the part of the bar where the tunnel was hidden and pulled the latch that revealed the tunnel.
All the guards except a rather weak one charged into the tunnel. The larger if the two prisoners took out the pathetic excuse of a guard and unlocked the chains of both himself and his companion. The both headed into the tunnel. Just then, one of the patrons of the bar stumbled out in a drunken stupor. He caught sight of Kars and eyed him up and down before attempting to put on a flirtatious persona "Well, I am thirsty, and you *hic* look like a tall glass of water *hic*""Oh stop you flatterer, you're making me blush" he purred, leaning close to the man with a seductive smile. Then, quick as a flash, he drew a knife and had it pressed against his throat before he could say anything else. He leaned close and whispered "Now be a good boy and tell daddy where those tunnels lead. Remember, no lying." into the man's ear. He felt the man shudder beneath him. He stuttered out the answer and Kars leaned back and took the blade off his throat.
"Thank you my dear, you've been most helpful." The man had just started to reach for his own knife to hopefully put an end to the this man who reeked of evil. Before he could even get his hand fully around his knife, he was falling to the ground choking on his own blood. His throat had been slit in the blink of an eye. Kars stalked away and began in the direction of the tunnel exit.
AN: Well that's all for now folks, next chapter picks up with Kars again. I am so tired right now ugh. Please comment if you enjoyed, I kind of had fun writing this so yay!!! See you all hopefully tomorrow. Stay safe my sweets!!
