AN: So we left off with the boys socializing with the ruffians, in this chapter we are going back to Kars, aww, I know, I know. Buckle up and get ready I guess. Have fun and please let me know if you are enjoying this.

~Chapter Eight~

Kars had started his trek towards the market that sold the paint. He had walked along peacefully thinking about how he could get away with using Joseph as his personal punching bag and not break the boy. He suddenly came up to a clearing where he heard rustling in the bushes. As he neared closer, a large brown stallion jumped out with a look of hostility on his face. It quickly turned to disappointment when he saw who it was.

Kars crept closure to the creature and started stroking it. "An imperial horse. What ever are you doing out here?" Then his face contorted into a look of alarm as he whispered, "Where's your rider?" He left the confused horse and bolted back to the tower. It seemed quiet, too quiet. "Joseph! Joseph, let down your hair! JOSEPH, ARE YOU UP THERE?" Upon getting no response, he ran to the back of the tower and started ripping vines off, after that he wretched some stones out and revealed a secret doorway.

He raced in and searched around, there was no sign of anyone in the tower. Items were missing or rearranged, and there was a chair in the center of the room. Kars fell to the floor in a fit if rage as he realised he lost his elixir once again. Out of the corner of his eye though, he caught a reflection of light coming from that miserable brat's paint chest. He wretched the crooked lid off and found a worn leather satchel that did not belong to him or Joseph. Sitting just inside was- no. It couldn't be.

But it was, the crown for the Prince of the Joestar family, Joseph's crown. Panic coursed through him like a steady drumbeat, had the palace discovered him and taken him back? No, why would they leave the priceless crown here? Then he noticed another item in the bag. It was a wanted poster of a man named, Casanova. Oh, a thief had stolen his elixir. He had a feeling that Joseph had managed to convince the man to take him to see the lanterns while using his previous cargo as leverage.

"Joseph you clever boy." He bit out in a venomous tone. He couldn't wait to get his hands around that pathetic child's neck. If only he could find a way to use his hair without him. He would have dumped the child in a lake to rot if he could. But for now, he had to keep up his loving father routine. He snatched up the satchel and made his way toward the palace in his search for his lost property.

AN: So around the time Kars found Loggins (the horse), Joseph and Casanova were either just arriving to the restaurant or they were already there. I'm trying to be kind of realistic about time passing because it probably took them about an hour or less to get there and they were probably there for close to two hours before the squeaker found some guards to squeal to. Kars would be getting there just as guards show up with the tattle. Sorry this is so short, I don't like this version of Kars. Stay healthy and safe! Until next time!
