Your POV
I knock on the door and enter after some
seconds. I smile nervously as I see my
stepbrother sitting next to grandma on the
bed. "Granny! Youngjae." I smile at both
of them but receive no reaction. I place the
fruits on the nightstand and sit on the chair
beside the bed.

"Where's dad?" I ask, looking at Youngjae.
This is too uncomfortable. The 10 years old
boy replies instantly, "He said that he went
to the lawyer to case." I nod my head. Does
he know about the doctor and stepmom?
He's too intelligent despite his age.

"I assume you're my granddaughter."
Grandma takes my attention from Youngjae.
I nod my head. Her memory loss is getting
worse day by day. Last time, she had assu-
med as a thief which would have ended my
whole existence of it wasn't for dad entering
the room right then.

They both talk to each other. Looks like they're having fun on their own and they don't need me. Well, when was I ever needed? I stand up from the chair. "I'll be heading home, then. Get well soon, gran." I rush towards the door as it opens and dad enters. I stand in front of him and tighten my grip on the strap of my bag. "Dad. I was just about to head out." I state, trying not to sound rude. He nods his head and I step towards the door.

"Y/n." He makes me stop on the midway and I look at him. "Yes?" I hope he doesn't burst out again. He glances at Youngjae and back at me. "I need you to take Youngjae with you for 2 days." He says and I look back and forth at my dad and stepbro. He continues, "I need to prepare papers for that case so I won't be home. Youngjae won't be able to stay all by himself."

"Sure. It's a holiday tomorrow." I look at Youngjae and then at granny who's looking at me with a blank expression but there's many things going in her mind for sure.

I and Youngjae walk side by side along the footpath. Looking down at his small form, I wonder how it would have been if we had an amazing sibling relationship. I have always seen siblings quarrel at the smallest thing but love each other endlessly. He and I never had that moment. He was always babies by stepmom and I was the one left out. Maybe it's for me to blame. If only I wasn't shy or introverted.

We arrived at the building in silence. I guide him towards the elevator and step inside behind him. We walk to my dorm and I unlock the door with the keys before signalling him to step inside. "What do you want for dinner?" I ask him, throwing my bag on the couch. He takes a seat on the couch and looks at me. "I've had dinner already with grandma." I nod my head.

"Do you want to do anything?" I ask and he points at the TV. Not gonna lie, he's cute actually. I turn on the TV and hand him the remote control. I sit on the chair across him and look at his features. Nose like my dad's. Eyes like I don't know. Lips like dad's. Wth- I think I sound creepy. I remove my eyes from him to the TV. Tom and Jerry. Without my knowledge, I get lost in the cartoon not knowing the time.

The door opening gets my attention and I sit up straight from my messed up posture. Looking at the door, I'm surprised to see Jungkook and another boy. But more surprised to see that he looks like he's beaten up. Youngjae just keeps his eyes on the TV. "If you wanna sleep, my room is right there, okay?" I point the door to my room. He nods and I quickly stand and walk near to the two boys who are opening their shoes with much difficulty. "Did he fall somewhere?"

The new boy laughs at my words. He nods and removes Jungkook's arm from his shoulder. "Yup. He fell in love." Jungkook smacks the back of the boy's head who stops talking immediately. "Oww. Looks like you don't need me. Bye." He puts on his shoes in a second before running out of the apartment. Jungkook sighs and locks the door. Why does him falling in love sound so painful for me to take?

He limps his way towards the couch and sits down. Youngjae is nowhere in sight. I take the first aid kit out of the drawer and sit beside him, maintaining distance. "What happened?" I ask him like I'll ever get answered. I glare at his handsome side profile as he just stares forward not even looking at me. I open the kit and pull out some bandaids. What am I supposed to do? I examine his body for worse wounds. His cheek got a small cut. I pull off the bandaid and stand up to put it on the cut. "Hey." He holds my wrist before I can do it. "What are you doing?" He questions and my heart beats faster. "Treating your wounds. Umm. If you don't want me to do it then I understand-" "You're doing it in a wrong way." He cuts me off and takes the bandaid from my hand. "For small cuts like these." He points at the cut on his cheek. "You don't have to use these huge bandaids." I nod at his words. He instructs me to get things done. He really knows things about this.
