Chapter 3

Blake's POV
We walked into the new store, and we saw that it was a new general sport store. Instantly, Jake went to the football stuff and as I look around, I see a game I hadn't played in a very long time. I walk over to it and pick up the box.

Devan: What you got there?

He said as he followed me over.

Blake: Spikeball. It's a game I played a lot with my family.

Devan: Really?

Blake: Yeah, wasn't the best but I had a lot of fun.

Devan: Never played, how does it play?

Blake: Well the best way I can describe it is it is like volleyball but you use this trampoline to bounce the ball to another player.

Devan: Okay, makes sense. Going to get it?

Blake: Right now? No. I still need to get a job and even though the government helps with bills and things, it would be nice to have my own money.

I put the spikeball game down as we see that Jake had gotten a few things.

Devan: Looks like your ready to go.

He smirks.

Jake: Well, gotta get ready for the next season.

Blake: That is true. What you get?

Jake: Got some footballs and some padding. My old ones are getting worn out.

Blake: What better time to switch them out than now right?

Jake: Agreed.

Devan: well, I don't know about you but I am getting pretty hungry.

Jake: There's a burger joint down the road. Wanna way there?

Blake: Sounds good to me.

Devan: Same here.

We then walked out of the store and went to the burger joint.

Time skip after eating

Blake: Well, that was pretty good, now what do we do now?

Jake: Well I can't think of anything.

Devan: Well Blake, you have that bet to pay up to.

I sigh knowing I was trying to get out of it.

Blake: I knew that.

Jake: So, going to show us here?

Blake: If I show you, it would be best that we do it somewhere more private.

Devan: Understandable.

Jake: And where do you suggest?

Blake: The woods would be best.

Devan: Why the woods?

Blake: Do you want to know or just ask questions?

I said irritated, and knowing if I answer one question they will just ask another.

Jake: Good point.

Devan: Well, there's the mountains Jake lives in but it's is in the opposite direction where you live though Blake.

Blake: Well, it's the closest.

Jake: All agreed then?

Me and Devan nod.

Jake: Kay, lets go then.

We get up from the table we were sitting at and went back to Jake's car. We then got in and drove off towards Jake's home.
