Blake's POV
After having another "session", Sarah fell asleep beside me. She was cute when she slept and I was about to fall asleep when I heard a knock at the front door. I sighed, got up, and got dressed. I went to the front door and opened it and my eyes widened. It was Dr. Fleeck and he was badly wounded. He began falling forward when I caught him and helped him
inside. I laid him down on the couch and began looking over his wounds. He had many lacerations and cuts but not very serious ones. I went and grabbed some bandages and some alcohol wipes and began patching him up. He was tired and was asleep. Once I bandages him up the best, I went to grab a pillow and blanket to help him rest. Upon returning I saw he was awake and I went to his side.
Blake: Dr Fleeck, what happened?
He took a few breathes before speaking. It was a bit soft but he spoke a bit slowly.
Dr. Fleeck: We found something at the site. T-cell didn't just work on tyrants.
Before he could say anything else, I stopped him.
Blake: You need rest, we will talk about this more when you wake up.
He nodded slowly and slept. I sat in wonderment by what he meant but, if T-cell didn't just work on Tyrants, what else did they make? I kept this in my mind as I sat against a chair and rested.
Time skip a couple hours later
I woke up when I saw Dr. Fleeck sitting up. I got up and helped him. Once he sat up, he held his head, most likely due to a headache.
Dr. Fleeck: Where am I?
Blake: In my home Dr. Fleeck.
He looked around and was relieved.
Dr. Fleeck: Good to see you Blake, despite the circumstances.
Blake: Agreed, let me get you something to drink.
I then got up, and went to the kitchen and filled a glass with water. I then went back and handed him the glass.
Dr. Fleeck: Thank you.
He took a drink then set it down on the table. He seemed much better, despite the bandages.
Blake: What happened?
Dr. Fleeck: Not too long ago we found another lab not too far from where we found you. When we opened it, we had people go in to investigate and about a week ago, some new creature came out we had never seen before.
Blake: Like a new Tyrant?
Dr. Fleeck: Not a tyrant. We got some files and they call them lickers. Deadly creatures with translucent skin. They tore through our men liking they were paper and at night they attacked the camp. I was the only one who was there at the camp. The others, such as Brittney and them were at the previous site. I managed to get away and got here.
He coughed a bit and sat back.
Blake: How many are there?
Dr. Fleeck: At least ten but the lab has become there nest. I am not sure if they will make more or simply wake there colleagues up. They aren't intelligent as in they can open up whatever locked up.
Blake: Do the others know?
Dr. Fleeck: They do, but I ran away into the forest and found myself here before I could see what they were going to do. I wouldn't be surprised if they created a perimeter.
I sat there, now knowing what he meant but now it leaves the question. If we don't destroy the nest, what will happen if we simply wait. I then heard a knock at the door. I went to the door and opened it and saw Brittney. I motioned inside and when she saw Dr. Fleeck she ran over, obviously she was looking for him.
Brittney: Are you okay?
Dr Fleeck: Besides the scratches and lacerations, I am peachy.
He said in a bit of pain. I walked over after closing the door.
Blake: Dr Fleeck told me what happened. What's the situation right now?
Brittney: We created a perimeter around the nest but until we can destroy it, we aren't risking anyone else going in.
I pondered knowing that if the kickers destroyed the camp, they won't stand a chance. The only way I could think of is for me to go in there and do it.
Blake: How so you plan on destroying it?
Brittney: We plan on using fire since, they don't like it and it quickly kills them. We want to detonate a flammable charge within the nest but no one can get deep enough to do so.
Blake: What happens if I go? With my Nemesis abilities I can get there with little issue.
Brittney looked at me.
Brittney: You sure?
Blake: I'm sure.
She pondered for a moment then nodded.
Brittney: Kay, we will need to leave as soon as possible, if we are to get there in time.
I nod and remembered that, Sarah won't like the idea.
Blake: When do we leave?
Brittney: A minute or so. Why?
Blake: I have to talk to someone.
I then got up and went to my bedroom as Brittney got Dr Fleeck out to the car she drove in. I saw that Sarah was sitting up and seeing me she smiled. I smiled weakly and when she saw this, she became concerned.
Sarah: Everything okay?
I go and hug her.
Blake: I have to go somewhere not very safe.
She hugged me and it was a bit tight when she heard those words.
Blake: I will be okay, I will get back and I will be fine. I wanted to let you know so that you wouldn't worry about where I went.
She continued hugging me, and she let go. I saw she had a tear or two because she was incredibly worried.
Sarah: Kay, I will be here. Watching the house.
I smiled and kissed her on the forehead and left but before I left the bedroom I smiled at Sarah and she returned it. I then left and got into the car with Brittney and Dr Fleeck and we left.
