Chapter 5

Blake's POV
I woke up feeling warmth on my left side. I opened my eyes, to see that I was in my bed. I tried to remember what happened when I felt movement to my left. I turned to see Sarah, sleeping soundly next to me. She was smiling in her sleep and I then remembered what happened. After our shower session, we got cleaned up and I climbed into bed. I was tired and ready to go to sleep but Sarah had other ideas. It seemed that she had a lot of energy left and we had another round. Upon remembering this, I sighed, knowing that my life is going to be very interesting.

I smiled though, knowing that it makes Sarah happy. I sat up trying not to wake her, and upon doing so, I waited to make sure she was still asleep. But before I could get out of bed, I get pulled back down and Sarah wrapped her arms around me as her tail and legs wrapped around mine. My face heated up, knowing she was naked, and she just snuggled up to me. I was confused since she was asleep but when I looked over I saw her eyes were open. I smiled and smiled back before kissing me.

I kissed back and we separated not too long after. I could see in her eyes that she was happy and it made me happy to know that.

Blake: Sarah, I gotta get up to make breakfast. Will you let go please?

She simply smiled and later her on my shoulder before replying.

Sarah: Just a couple more minutes.

I simply smiled and laid there. It felt nice and comfortable surprisingly as we laid there. After a couple of minutes, I decided to ask again.

Blake: Sarah, it's time for me to make us something to eat.

She didn't respond as I noticed she had fallen asleep. I didn't want to wake her but I couldn't do anything, even just moving will wake her up. I gently shook her with my hand.

Blake: Sarah, wake up.

She held me tighter and grumbled a bit. I shook her again, when she gave a response.

Sarah: I want to stay like this though.

I smiled at her response.

Blake: I do too but we got to eat something, and we can't do that if we stay here.

She grumbled a bit as I said that and her grip loosened. I took this opportunity to sit up and found she didn't resist. I saw she was still tired so, I would leave her here to continue to rest. I smiled and kissed her on the cheek before putting on some clothes. Upon reaching the kitchen I saw that Christmas Eve was the day after tomorrow. I smiled wondering what we were going to do as I started to cook scrambled eggs and sausage.

As I cooked, I looked back at the conversation I had with Jake and Devan about Sarah and what could happen with the others. I still felt nervous but now it wasn't with Sarah as it used to be. It was mainly how the others would react to it. I chuckled silently knowing that I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah did what Devan said she might do, help the others become attached just like her. I finished cooking and made a plate for me and Sarah. I then returned to my bedroom to see her still asleep, except she seemed lonely. I sighed knowing that subconsciously, she was wanting to snuggle with me. I placed both the plates on my nightstand and sat on the bed.

I brushed Sarah's hair and smiled as she slowly woke up. Once she woke up, she rubbed her eyes and yawned.

Blake: Good morning.

She then looked at me and smiled, and sat up, them hugged me.

Sarah: Good morning.

I hugged her, and upon doing so she nuzzled into me.

Blake: You hungry, cuz I brought some breakfast.

She let go and smiled, nodding. I smiled and grabbed her plate and mine. I gave her her plate and I started eating. She began eating and smiled.

Sarah: Your a really good cook.

I chuckle.

Blake: Yeah but not as good as you though.

I say smiling. She quickly eats hers, and as I finish, she hugs my arm. I finish and put my plate down, but I feel a lot of warmth coming from Sarah. It doesn't help when she doesn't have clothes on but luckily, the blanket is taking care of that. I touch her forward to see if she is getting sick and I felt a lot of heat but not the fever kind. It felt as if she was really hot and her body was trying to get rid of it. I was a bit confused, when I was pulled down. Sarah laid there, hugging my arm. She had her eyes closed and to me it seemed odd. After a minute, I saw she was fast asleep. I carefully wiggled out of her grasp and got up. I went to my living room, grabbing my phone and a book on the way from my room. I sat down and opened it.

The book was a textbook on the anatomy and physiology of Anthros. I went to the Shark section and looked for any info on what's going on with Sarah currently. After searching for a couple of minutes I found a section.

'Upon attaching to their mate, the female shark will begin producing a lot of heat from their body. This occurs mainly to indicate she is in a state of heat. She will stay like this for an unknown period of time, some cases indicating some had never left this state. To end a cycle the best thing to do is to follow her lead. After doing so, it will hopefully end the cycle but it is not guaranteed. Lastly, this cycle can be easily ignited again with the same way it started at the attachment.'

Upon reading this, it made a lot of sense and why what happened last night happened. I sat back, knowing that it was going to be interesting but only the future held what was to come of it.
