Sophia sighs and knocks on her mother's bedroom door
"Come in" Sophia's mother said as Sophia walks into her mother's bedroom
"Hey,mom"
"Hey hun,how you doing?" Sophia's mother asked
"I'm doing good!" Sophia replied. "I just got done cooking brunch for Jennifer and everyone else"
"How is Jennifer? Is everything fine with her and Malik?" Sophia's mother asked
"Yea,everything went perfectly fine. Turns out that he didn't do anything with that thot after all" Sophia replied
"That's great! Now I can start liking him"
"So,are you nervous?" Sophia asked
"Nervous about what,hun?" Sophia's mother asked putting lipstick on.
"Getting married to daddy again" Sophia replied
"No,why would I?" Sophia's mother asked
"Because he left us hanging when I was almost sixteen years old and he barely contacted us while living in a different state. And now he wanna pop up out of nowhere and come back to you like it's nothing" Sophia replied
Tina sighs and crossed her arms as she faces her daughter
"What?" Sophia asked
"Why did you do that?" Sophia's mother asked
"Do what?" Sophia asked
"You know what,Sophia! Don't act all stupid" Sophia's mother replied
"I'm just saying! Like how could you run back into his arms like that after ALL those years of you being depressed,crying,and hurting. As soon as you opened that door when he came over. You just ran into his arms like he saved your life from drowning" Sophia said as her mother shook her head
"I knew it"
"Knew what?" Sophia asked
"That you was faking all this happiness ever since he came back into our lives" Sophia's mother replied
"What? You expected me to look at him some type of way,treat him differently,and ruin your happiness?" Sophia asked. "I rather be the fakest person alive instead of ruining your happiness with daddy"
"You don't have to be fake,just tell him how you feel and he'll understand where you're coming from"
"I really doubt that,mom"
"And why is that?" Sophia's mother asked
"Dad left you for some other chick but that relationship didn't last long" Sophia replied. "So,instead of coming back to you,he went to go hook up with some other chick. A few years later you went to a different state while daddy stayed and fell in love with another chick and her family that he tried to make me get along with when I was seventeen. And while you was all alone sinking and drowning into depression" She said as her mother gets quiet
