"What do you mean you can't do it?!" Jennifer asked
"I'm sorry,baby girl,I got called by one of the biggest clubs and I couldn't turn it down" Malik said feeling bad
Jennifer groans. "I already told Sophia's mom that you'll pay for it"
"Why would you do that before asking me?" Malik asked
"Because I thought you were going to,so I thought that you would pay for it" Jennifer replied
"As much as I love weddings,I wouldn't mind paying for our tickets. But sadly I can't because I got called in"
"Damn! Why did they call you instead of someone else?" Jennifer asked
"Because this special event that these people are holding wanted the owner of the club to let his DJ to play but his DJ is on vacation,so they picked me" Malik replied
"What would have happened if you said no?" Jennifer asked
"The money they was planning to pay me will be given to the other DJ who will play there.And I need to get paid if I wanna live under a roof" Malik replied
"Yea,I know I was just trying to help"
"I know that you was,baby girl,and that's very nice of you to do that for your best friend. But next time please ask me first"
"Okay,I will remember that" Jennifer said as Sophia walks into the living room with both of her hands behind her back as she stopped and looked at Jennifer.
Jennifer shook her head as Sophia frustratingly groaned
"I really wish that I could help you and Sophia but I can't,I'm sorry"
Jennifer sighs. "No,it's okay it's not your fault"
Sophia whispers. "Hey" She said as she waved her arms at Jennifer.
"Hmmm?"
"Hmmm what?" Malik asked
"Nothing,something caught my attention" Jennifer replied as she looked at Sophia
"Is he even coming?" Sophia asked whispering as Jennifer shook her head
"Why not?" Sophia asked
"Hold on,Malik"
"Okay,baby girl" Malik said as Jennifer puts her phone on mute
"He's been called in to DJ at this special event for this couple"
"Wow,when?" Sophia asked
"Somewhere around this month or the next two months near the wedding event" Jennifer replied
"Nooo" Sophia said whining
"I know right! I don't wanna be without my baby"
"Not only that but now I have to tell my mom that she'll have to pay for it now"
