The door swung open immediately. A very strict looking woman was standing in the threshold, and Jungkook thought immediately that, however strict his mother seemed, this woman commanded more respect than Jungkook had ever felt for his own mother in his entire lifetime. He knew immediately that this woman was not someone to cross.

"The firs' years, Professor McGonnagall," said Hagrid.

"Thank you Hagrid. I will take them from here."

Jungkook followed the rest of his fellow first years into the castle, and the door swung shut behind them. The entrance hall was very elegant, and though one could say that the Jeon Manor was more magnificent. Jungkook felt as if Hogwarts was at least 1000 times more welcoming. The warm glow of torches along its stone walls gave a cozy feeling, even though the hall was vast.

Professor McGonagall led them across the stone floor into a small chamber off the hall. Jungkook could hear loud chattering ensuing from the big doors of the hall. The first years huddled together quietly as McGonagall began to talk.

"Welcome to Hogwarts. The start of term will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory, and spend free time in your house common room."

Jungkook was starting to feel quite ill. Spending all his time with his brother and his friends in Slytherin did not seem very appealing at all. He looked around at the others, who looked quite as sick as he felt.

Professor McGonagall continued. "The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rulebreaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours."

Now Jungkook felt like he was about to throw up. He felt like he couldn't breathe. Now that the moment was near, was he really ready to join his brother? If only he could run away with Hoseok and never see Minguk again.

"The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting." Jungkook saw her gaze travel over all of them, and linger on Neville's cloak, which was stuck under his left ear, Ron, whose face was smudged, and he saw many of the others, including himself and Harry, fix their hair in attempts to look decent.

"I shall return when we are ready for you. Please wait quietly." McGonagall swept out of the chamber.

Jungkook could hear a dull buzzing in his ear, and he vaguely heard Ron and Harry talking about how they would be sorted. Jungkook knew already of course, because of Minguk. Hermione was whispering very quickly about something to everyone and anyone who would listen, but like Jungkook, none paid much attention. Then suddenly, several people screamed.

"What the-?"

There were sharp gasps from all around him as pearly white, transparent ghosts streamed in, though the wall. They were... arguing? A fat, short little monk was arguing and Jungkook could hear the word Peeves thrown into the argument.

"And I say-what are you all doing here?" A ghost in a ruffled collar asked.

Of course, no one answered.

Jungkook couldn't really focus his attention on the ghosts, and he wasn't as surprised as some of the others, already knowing about the ghosts, because of the many times that Minguk cursed them, especially one named Peeves.
