Chapter Eighteen

Christmas was over. It was amazing while it lasted, but now, students were flooding back into Hogwarts. Among the first to arrive was Minguk.

Jungkook had been keeping watch over the door, waiting for his friends to arrive, and so when Minguk had come in, Jungkook was the first person he saw.

And before Jungkook knew it, Minguk was beside him.

"So, did you miss me?" Minguk asked, leering. " I know you did." And he extended his arms towards his younger brother.

Jungkook shied away, glaring at Minguk. "Leave me alone!"

"Awww poor Itsy Bitsy Kookie!" Minguk's voice dropped lower. "I see that you think you can defy me now. Just because you've become a Muggle lover doesn't mean that you aren't still my brother. And as your older brother... Mother and Father say that sometimes I have to teach you a few lessons." He moved closer. "HA!" Minguk shouted suddenly. "You're so funny Kookie! I love you so much, you know?"

Jungkook stared back.

And Minguk held his arms out again. "Why don't you give your older brother a hug?" He pouted.

If it was possible, Minguk seemed even meaner than he ever had been before. That was saying a lot.

"No thanks." Jungkook grinned at his now furious looking brother. "I think I see Terry. You know him? The one born into a Muggle family? Yeah, I'm gonna go talk to him now. I'll see you around. Bye!" And he ran, a little more quickly than he would have liked (seeing as he was trying to seem unafraid.)

And then he was by Terry's side.

"So, did you miss me?" Terry asked, but these same words were so unlike Minguk's leering question just before. "I know you did!" He grinned.

Jungkook rolled his eyes. "N-yes! Kind of. Not really. It was peaceful and quiet without you around-"

Terry pouted. "How extremely RUDE."

Taehyun walked right in the door, and right past them. He sighed dramatically. "That's the first thing you say to each other? You guys are the worst." And he swept past Jungkook, up the stairs, towards the Ravenclaw Tower.

Jungkook and Terry exchanged glances. "No need to be so savage about it!" Jungkook called after Taehyun's retreating figure. He got no response.

Jungkook turned to Terry. "I'll leave Mister Savage to you!"

"Wait, why do I need to take care of him!?!?" Terry was just calling after Jungkook's back.

Because Jungkook was searching for his other friends. And he soon spotted two of them. "HOBI! TAE!"

They both turned to him, and simultaneously, their faces lit up.

"Kookie!" Hoseok shouted across the room. He and Tae took their bags and ran towards him. "How was your Christmas here at Hogwarts?"

Jungkook grinned. "It was great! I'm just sad you guys weren't here." And he frowned slightly.

Tae grinned too. "Well, we're here now! Anyway, did anything exciting happen while we were gone?"

Jungkook's mind flashed to Jin's meltdown, but he quickly put that out of his mind. "Nothing much."

The Hufflepuffs nodded. "Hey," Hobi said suddenly. "Did you see your brother, Kookie? He was acting really weird on the train. I mean, more weird than normal."

Jungkook nodded. "He seems meaner than usual... if that's even possible."

Taehyung nodded. "Definitely. I saw him snapping at poor Hannah Abbott before. She literally just passed him in the hall. I almost punched him in the face-"
