"You can't run off like that again, or I might have to teach you a lesson!"

Jungkook immediately started shaking with fear. Hoseok didn't need to be smart to know that Jungkook was scared of this older boy that had just barged in. His eyes darted back and forth, from the older boy to Jungkook, and he thought he saw some resemblances. But while this boy was smiling widely, it didn't seem to quite reach his eyes. Instead, the warmth emanating from him seemed to stop at the corner of his eyes, which glittered darkly and coldly. This was so unlike Jungkook, whose very face seemed to light up when he smiled, and whose bunny-like grin made Hoseok feel happy. This boy that had just walked in, his smile, though very alike Jungkook's, left Hoseok shivering.

Jeon Minguk continued. "Kookie! Come along! We need to have a talk before we arrive at Hogwarts!" And with that, Minguk wrenched Jungkook away from the other boys. He sniffed disgustedly at Harry and Ron, and didn't even look at Hoseok, as if he wasn't in the room at all.

Hoseok started forward to follow the two brothers, but Yoongi glared at him so hard that, if looks could kill, Hoseok would be dead before he hit the ground. And so he cowered instead, shivering under the scrutinizing glare of the older boy. Then, Yoongi swept out of the room, and Ron, Harry, and Hoseok let out the breaths they did not realize they were holding.

"What was that all about?" Hoseok asked. "Was that Jungkook's brother? And who was that other boy? He's kind of intimidating."

Ron snapped his fingers. "I remember now! My brothers said that there are a few people we should steer clear of. Those boys are two of them." He lowered his voice conspiratorially. "Fred and George, my brothers, were talking to the Kim brothers, and I couldn't help but overhear what they were saying. They said that Jeon Minguk and Min Yoongi are the worst troublemakers at school, even worse than themselves! The thing is," and here Ron lowered his voice even further, "the teachers have no clue! Those two are so good at managing to get away with things, the teachers cannot catch them doing anything wrong!" He grinned sheepishly. "That's what I heard anyway. They probably knew I was listening and wanted to scare me. That's all."

Hoseok wasn't too sure about that. He peeked out of the compartment and watched the retreating figures of the Jeon brothers move farther and farther away. Now that he thought about it, the students DID seem to be scared of them, moving out of the way, not looking them in the eye. Maybe it WAS true... But what about Jungkook? Was he just like his brother?

Jeon Minguk pulled open the compartment door, shoving Jungkook into it roughly. Yoongi raised his eyebrows at the harsh treatment. He shook his head when Minguk gestured for him to enter the room. Yoongi knew better than to get involved in the Jeon family affairs. After all, his grandmother had said, "Keep your head held high, do not stoop to help others. Only care for yourself! Others will only slow you down, or weaken you." Yoongi only kept close to Minguk because no one would be able to bother him, scared as they were of the older boy. Even at the moment, as he stood outside the compartment, the other children gave him a wide berth. No one wanted to be singled out by Yoongi. If they did, their lives would become miserable. He continued to glare at the others, as if daring them to fight him. None of them did.

Inside the compartment, Minguk was mad. Extremely mad. "I don't look after you for a short while, and you've already made friends with the worst possible people? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

Jungkook cowered against his brother's rage. "Th-the-they are not b-bad people Minguk! Th-they are nice!"

Minguk was actually appalled. "DO YOU THINK I CARE ABOUT THEM BEING NICE? THEY ARE TRAITORS! FILTH! MUDBLOODS!" Suddenly his voice became a whisper. "Jeon Jungkook," he hissed. "Do not associate with them. Do you understand? They are traitors. They are not good for you to know. The sooner you learn this, the sooner you can actually become a relevant person in life. Do you understand?"

Jungkook froze in place. The people Minguk had just condemned were also the same people that actually talked to him, without glaring or being disgusted. They were nice people, Jungkook knew that, and he did not want to break ties with them. He took a deep breath, and was about to say so, when the train started slowing down.

A voice echoed throughout the train. "We will be arriving at Hogwarts in five minutes. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately."

Jungkook sighed in relief. He would not have to answer the question after all. Minguk turned his sharp eyes and trained them on Jungkook's. "You're lucky this time." he growled. Then he swept out of the room, immediately acting like a nice boy and laughing with Yoongi. Jungkook stood shaking, staring after his two faced brother and his seemingly great best friend. That was a close one.

The train came to a complete stop, and the children hurried to rush out into the dark night air. Jungkook was pushed along by the stream of people, and he looked around. It was almost completely dark save for some bobbing lanterns lighting the way.

A booming voice sounded out of the darkness. "Firs' years this way! Firs' years over here! C'mon Firs' years, come along!" Jungkook could see a giant silhouette leading the way, and as he was a first year, he followed. He fell into step behind one of the Kims, Kim Taehyung. As the first years were led into the darkness, no one spoke. It was as there was a spell over them. Then they rounded a corner, and Hogwarts came into full view. There was a collective sigh of awe, and the spell was broken. Jungkook could see the dark spires of Hogwarts, and he felt excited.

"All righ'! Everyone in!" Quickly, the first years entered boats, and Jungkook found himself in one with Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin, Jung Hoseok, and Kim Namjoon.

"Everyone in?" Their guide called. "Right then, FORWARD!" And the boats took off, silently gliding across the black water towards the giant castle.

Jungkook looked at the other children sitting in the boat with him, and made eye contact with Namjoon. Smiles passed between the two boys, smiles of excitement.

Jungkook could feel someone's eyes on him, and so he turned to see Taehyung staring at him with a measure of both fear and curiosity in his eyes. Taehyung quickly looked away, but not before Jungkook flashed a smile at him.

Jungkook could see that Hoseok could hardly stay still from all the excitement and anxiety. They locked eyes briefly and grinned at each other, Hoseok deciding then and there that, no matter what Minguk was, Jungkook was not mean or evil. They would be friends, BEST of friends.

The only one who seemed unfazed on the boat was Park Jimin. He sat staring at the dark castle looming closer and closer, and no matter how hard Jungkook tried to decipher his thoughts, Jimin's face was an unreadable mask.

"Heads down!" came a cry from the distance, and the four of them ducked as the boats went under a curtain of ivy, going into some sort of tunnel. The boats continued through the tunnel until they reached a harbor underground, where they stopped. The first years quickly piled out of the boats and followed Hagrid through a passageway, stepping over pebbles and stones.

Jungkook trudged quietly along, his mind occupied with thoughts about the future. His parents and Minguk both wanted him to join Slytherin, and not mar the family name. They wanted him to cut off all ties with blood traitors and "Mudbloods", who he assumed was referring to Jung Hoseok. Jungkook turned and glanced at the said boy, who was bouncing along the path, clearly excited and happy. They caught each other's eyes, and Hoseok gave Jungkook a huge smile, and a thumbs up. It was at that moment that Jungkook KNEW! He would never abandon Hoseok. He was a true friend, and even if Minguk and his parents were furious, Jungkook would make friends with Purebloods, half bloods, and Muggleborns alike, if they were good people, worthy of friendship.

Hagrid's voice broke into Jungkook's reverie. "Oy, you there! Is this your toad?" Jungkook could see a struggling toad being thrust into the arms of a blissful boy. As the first years got out of the boats, Jungkook surveyed them all. They walked up the stone steps and crowded around the large, wooden front door.

"Everyone here? You! Still got yer' toad?" Jungkook stood shivering excitedly as Hagrid raised his giant fist, knocking on the door three times.
