Haikyuu!! Yachi x Hinata

Chapter 32: Checking In

The days leading up to Nationals went by slow. Especially for Hinata and Yachi who still missed each other very much. Everyday in school Hinata avoided Yachi and after school they would go straight home. So, they hadn’t seen each other at all since the last time they had practice. 

Saturday came and everyone met up at the school to board the bus to Tokyo. It was the first time Hinata and Yachi had made eye contact in a while. Hinata was filled with joy at seeing her face but of course he didn’t show it. He went to take a seat on the bus that was a single seater so no one could sit next to him. Yachi went to sit with Kiyoko. When they arrived at their hotel, the team was a bit surprised to find that their hotel was a bit shabby looking as compared to the one right next to them.

Coach Ukai and Takeda Sensei went inside to go check in and the boys followed behind. Once they checked in, everyone went to their room. All the boys stayed in one giant room and the girls stayed in a smaller room a few doors down.

After everyone had settled in they made their way to the gym where the tournament was going to be held the following day. Everyone was nervous so practice didn’t go so well. When they got back to the hotel, Coach Ukai sent everyone a video of their best play styles that Takinoue had made for them. 

“It’s good for you guys to see your best moves and feel confident about yourselves,” he told them. Everyone was excited to see their own videos. While all the boys spent their time doing things to calm their nerves, the girls went to go bathe together.

Yachi was quite nervous being in the bath together with Kiyoko. Sure, they had changed in front of each other before but they were never fully naked like they were now. Yachi couldn't help but compare her body to Kiyoko's. She could tell even more now who’s body was more developed. And it wasn't hers.

“Uh, are you nervous about the first game tomorrow?” Yachi asked, breaking the silence. 

“I’m not worried about it. The boys will definitely win,” Kiyoko smiled at her. 

She sounds so sure. Maybe I should start thinking more like her, Yachi breathed in and then breathed out to try to relax. 

“Are you nervous?” Kiyoko asked.

“Yea, I am,” Yachi admitted. 

“Don’t worry. You’ve seen how good our team is, you just have to believe in them and let all your nerves go away,” Kiyoko told her.  

Yachi nodded and continued her breathing techniques.

Meanwhile, Tanaka and Nishinoya were both pacing around the boys room frantically. 

“What’s with you two?” Ennoshita asked. 

“Kiyoko is currently taking a bath with Yachi,” Nishinoya said. 

“Yea and?” Ennoshita questioned. 

“It means we have to take our minds off of it or we’re going to start imagining wild things that will certainly erase everything we watched from our videos,” Tanaka explained. 

Ennoshita gave them a look and Kinoshita laughed at them. “You guys are pervs,” he said. 

“Come on, you can’t say you haven’t thought about things like that,” Nishinoya said in defense. 

“Sure, I have. I just don’t admit it outloud like you two,” Kinoshita said. 

“Well, now you have,” Tanaka smirked. Kinoshita smacked his forehead.
