Sagittarius POV-
"Aquaaaaaaa, wake up! It's time for school!" I yelled, hoping to rouse my sister from her slumber. She merely rolled away from me, grunting in response.
"I made your favorite breakfast," I said, attempting to entice her out of bed. To my delight, she leapt to her feet and locked her steely blue gaze on me. I squirmed under her intense scrutiny, so she stood up and hurried downstairs to the kitchen, showcasing her amazing sisterly qualities. "This is going to be a long day," I groaned to myself. Knowing Aqua's usual mood, I braced myself for a stream of curse words and a pillow being thrown at me.
I made my way downstairs into the kitchen, where Aqua was already chowing down on a delicious chocolate chip pancake. "Hey, Sagi," Aqua remarked with a grin on her face.
"You know I don't appreciate being called that," I said, my voice dangerously low.
She gulped and glanced at me before disappearing in the blink of an eye. I sighed once again, knowing how much I despised that nickname given to me by our mother. With our father away on a business trip, we had the house to ourselves for the next week. Regardless, it was the first day of school, and I didn't want to be late.
Switching to Taurus's point of view, my mother's cheerful voice pulled me from my slumber. "Oh, Tartie, wake up!" she exclaimed.
"I'm not interested," I complained, not yet ready to face the day.
"Come on, it's the first day of school, and I baked your favorite," Mom said, her tone flat.
That got my attention. Triple chocolate waffles with bananas, strawberries, Nutella, and whipped cream were my request, and Mom nodded in acknowledgment. I quickly jumped out of bed and dashed downstairs, where the mouthwatering waffles awaited me. The chocolate was perfectly melted, and the bananas and strawberries adorned the plate like precious jewels. In the corner of my eye, I noticed my mother smirking at me. Spotting my prey, I moved faster than a cheetah, devouring the scrumptious breakfast in record time.
"Well, Tartie," Mom said with a sly smile, "I need something from you since I prepared your favorite."
I shook my head slowly, unsure of what she was about to ask.
"Understood, no pranking today," she declared firmly.
"But, Mom—"
"I don't give a damn. It's your first day of senior year, Tartie. Do it for me."
"Fine," I grumbled, knowing that the day was bound to be eventful regardless.
Gathering my belongings, I dashed out the door. I, for one, didn't want to be late for the bus.
Meanwhile, in Scorpio's perspective, I had already arrived at the bus stop, observing Aquarius and her brother engaged in an argument in the distance. Suddenly, with an audible "oof," I found myself on the ground. Snarling at the person who had collided with me, I looked up and met the gaze of Taurus. He quickly apologized and averted his eyes, feeling the weight of his mistake. When the yellow school bus arrived, I boarded swiftly, making my way to the back seat by the window. I put on my headphones, cranking up the music to drown out any attempts at conversation.
As for Gemini, I dashed out the door in a hurry, only to be reminded by my mother that I had forgotten my lunch. Ignoring her pleas as the bus had likely already arrived, I sprinted past the bus stop. Determined not to be late, I ran for a solid 15 minutes before taking a more leisurely walk to Eastland High's gates. Spotting my classmates, I quickly recognized Cancer and approached him.
"Hey there, dude. What's up? And why do you look like you've just finished a marathon?" Cancer inquired, perplexed.
"Because I probably did," I replied sarcastically.
"You don't have to be so sour with me," Cancer responded.
I explained the reason for my current mood, mentioning the forgotten lunch and missed bus. It was shaping up to be a long day indeed.
In Capricorn's perspective, I leaned against the lockers, engaging in flirty banter with an attractive woman named Elizabeth, or so I believed. I gave her my most charming look and casually complimented her. She laughed and blushed, clearly flattered. I couldn't help but smirk, thinking to myself, "Gotcha." However, my flirtatious moment was short-lived as someone unexpectedly grabbed my ear and yanked me away. It turned out to be Aries Firelaw.
"What was that for?" I screamed in anger, my ear throbbing.
"That, Cap," she explained, struggling to contain her laughter, "was for trying to play a girl like an instrument."
"Ugh, whatever," I grumbled, frustrated by the interruption.
The sound of the bell ringing interrupted our conversation, signaling the start of class and forcing us to part ways.
Moving on to Cancer's perspective, I hurried inside, determined not to collide with anyone. However, as luck would have it, I swung the door open and accidentally smacked a girl, Virgo, in the face.
"Oh gosh," I exclaimed, noticing blood dripping down her face. Realizing my mistake, I quickly apologized. She bolted away, clearly not pleased. I watched as she turned the corner, likely heading to the nurse's station.
"Great," I grumbled to myself, realizing that she might never like me again.
"Mr. Wasser, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude," Mr. Wilson said, smirking at me. "I'm glad you showed up, even if it involved striking Ms. Doncella in the face."
Why does the universe seem to hate me so much? I pondered, feeling the weight of unfortunate events piling up.
Continuing with Sagittarius's perspective, I had finished my breakfast and made my way back upstairs to my room to get ready for school. As I entered my room, I noticed my school bag lying on the floor, untouched from the night before. "Great," I muttered, realizing that I still needed to gather my things.
I hastily threw my books and notebooks into my bag, hoping I hadn't forgotten anything crucial. Just as I was about to leave the room, I spotted my lucky charm necklace lying on the dresser. I hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether to wear it or not. In the end, I decided to put it on, feeling a slight sense of comfort as I secured it around my neck.
With my bag slung over my shoulder and my lucky charm in place, I made my way downstairs once again. Sagittarius was already waiting by the front door, tapping his foot impatiently.
"Finally, Aqua. Let's go before we're late," I said, checking his watch.
I nodded and followed him out the door, locking it behind us. The morning air was crisp, and the sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm glow over the neighborhood. As we walked to the bus stop, I tried to strike up a conversation but aqua wasn't in the mood for small talk.
The bus arrived just as we reached the stop, and we climbed aboard, finding seats near the back. Scorpio was already there, lost in his music and oblivious to our presence. I glanced out the window, watching as familiar streets passed by. It was the start of a new school year, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension.
As the bus journeyed onward, I caught a glimpse of Gemini sprinting past the bus stop, his backpack bouncing wildly. I chuckled to myself, knowing that he was always in a rush. The bus continued its route, stopping at various locations to pick up more students. Eventually, we arrived at Eastland High, and we filed out of the bus, ready to face the challenges of the day.
Little did we know that this would be a day filled with unexpected encounters, surprising revelations, and a series of events that would shape our lives in ways we couldn't imagine.
