Leo POV:
"Hey guys, what classes do you have next period?" Aqua asked, breaking the silence.
"Well, I have bl—" Aries began, but I quickly interrupted her, not wanting to hear another one of her dirty jokes.
"Let's not go there," I interjected, hoping to change the subject.
"So, what classes do you have?" Libby asked, trying to steer the conversation in a different direction.
"I have Physics next, then it's lunch, and after that, I have chemistry with Scorpio," I replied, but before I could finish, Aqua chimed in.
"You have chemistry, eh? WITH SCORPIO," Aqua teased, struggling to hold back her laughter, but failing miserably.
"Aw, come on, give me a break," I responded, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. I glanced at Aquarius, who was sending me one of her infamous smirks. I could feel my face turning even redder, and it seemed like there was no escape.
"OoooOoOoOooO, someone has a crush," Aries exclaimed, her grin widening. I felt the embarrassment wash over me, desperately wanting to end this embarrassing moment.
"Do not," I blurted out hastily, hoping to bring this conversation to a quick end.
"Do too," Aries fired back, clearly enjoying every moment of my discomfort.
"Do n—" I tried to retaliate, but the sad excuse for a bell rang, signaling the start of our next class.
"You see, even the bell agrees with me," Aries said, smirking triumphantly.
"Oh, shut up," I muttered, burying my face in my hands, feeling utterly embarrassed.
Aries POV:
Yes! I finally figured out Leo's crush. Leo and Scorpio, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love—
"Ms. Firelaw, care to join us?" Mr. Kode's voice interrupted my thoughts, pulling me back to reality.
"Oh, um, sorry. I was just lost in thought about math, yeah, definitely math," I replied, feigning nervousness. I knew all the material already, but pretending not to gave the teachers a sense of accomplishment.
"Alright then. Next time when I call on you to answer the equation on the board, I expect an answer, not lies," Mr. Kode said pointedly, and I sighed, glancing around in search of a reassuring face. Instead of finding Libby or Virgo, who were fighting back laughter, I locked eyes with Gemini, the only hacker I knew. He was sweet, but his little sister, Isadora, was the real gem. She took great pleasure in embarrassing her brother at every opportunity. I remembered her saying that Gemini thought I was hot, and when Gemini heard about it, he turned bright red. I fought the sudden urge to burst out laughing. Oh, the shame.
Pisces POV:
(Time skip: lunchtime)
I had a bad feeling in my stomach as I entered the cafeteria. Something was off. The first thing I noticed was that Leo wasn't yelling at Aquarius for eating her food. The second thing I noticed was that Aquarius wasn't even there.
"Hey guys, have you seen Aqua?" I asked the girls, hoping they might have some sense of where she was.
"No, the last time I saw her was when she was dozing off in Mrs. Doge's class," Leo replied, snickering.
"That's strange because, one, you actually didn't have anyone eating your food, and two—" I began to say before Leo cut me off.
"HOW CAN THAT GIRL EAT SO MUCH AND REMAIN SO TINY?" Leo exclaimed, his frustration evident. "Maybe Sag will figure out what's wrong," I thought to myself, smiling, as I continued eating.
