The Box of Little Critter

Chapter One

"ADAM DID YOU SERIOUSLY WATCH ANOTHER EPISODE WITHOUT ME?!" Tianna yelled, angry. Adam was sitting on the couch. He suddenly paused the TV and put the remote down, then looked up.

"What are you talking about babe?! I would never do that!" he exclaimed. She glared, crossing her arms.

"That's not what the search history says," she responded pissed. Adam just sat there on the edge of the couch, scared. There was silence for a bit, then Tianna sighed, heading to her room and shut the door. Adam quickly followed her and knocked on the door.

"Tianna babe please," he said. "Please open the door baby. I'm sorry. If it's that big of a deal, we can watch the episode together." Silence for a minute.

"It's not that," Tianna muttered from the room. Adam put an ear against the door. "I was just excited to watch tv with you after work." Adam sighed, took a few steps back, turned around, then he yelled "Tianna if you don't open the door in 5 seconds, I will cry while breaking the door down. And break my arm in the process." More silence. Adam then took a deep breath then started to head toward the door. Before he got to it, Tianna slowly opened the door, tears down her face and her cheeks red and puffy. Adam ran up and hugged her.

"Babe please don't cry," Adam said. "It's ok. Lets go watch the episode." Tianna just sniffles, then a moment later, she looks down and pulls her phone out of her pocket.

"Getting a call from a random number," she said.

"You should answer it," Adam replied. "I'll go set up the show." Adam went back to the living room while Tianna went back to the bedroom to answer the call. 

"Hello?" 

"Yes hello is this Tianna?"

"Uh yeah. Who is this?"

"This is the general hospital calling. I wanted to tell you your uncle wants to speak to you." Silence. Tianna just looked down at her phone nervous. Tianna's uncle has been in the hospital because of a serious illness for about a year. It has been slowly killing him. Since he was put into the hospital, not many people talked to him, but Tianna and Adam go see him from time to time to check up and talk to him. That resulted in Tianna and Adam being closer with her uncle. 

I wonder what Uncle wants to talk to me about, Tianna thought. She went to the living room and walked to Adam who was setting up the TV. Adam looked at Tianna.

"What's going on babe?" he asked, concerned. Tianna sighed, looking at the ground.

"Please grab your keys," she said. "We need to go to the hospital." Without hesitation, Adam put on his sandals, grabbed his keys, and the two headed out the door.
