Tianna walked toward Adam in the living room, where Adam was just sitting on the couch playing on his phone. She stood next to him and crossed his arms, glaring at him. Adam looked up at Tianna.
"What's wrong babe?" he said with a slight chuckle. "What's with the look?" Tianna continued to glare at him for a minute.
"Why were you mean to critter?" she asked, with a slight angry tone. Adam gave her a confused look.
"I wasn't mean to him," he responded. Tianna rolled her eyes.
"If you say so," she said. Tianna started heading toward the door, when suddenly she turned. "Just please try to be nicer to him." Then she left, shutting the door behind her. Adam sighed, not saying anything.
That evening, Adam had a dream. A nightmare, to be more specific. The dream was him and Tianna on Halloween. The two were going trick or treating. As they were walking around, they were going through a field to get to another neighborhood. Adam stopped Tianna because he saw a black dog shaped figure laying on the ground. He could immediately tell that there was something wrong with that creature. So Adam told Tianna that they had to sneak past it quietly so it didn't wake it up. Tianna nodded, terrified as Adam slowly snuck around the creature. It didn't move much, although it adjusted a bit. When Adam was closer to it, he saw that it was a bit bigger than he thought it was, but he didn't want to worry about that. Once Adam made it on the other side, he gestured for Tianna to sneak over. She nodded, then slowly started to sneak over. When Tianna was close to the creature, it suddenly opened its eyes. Both Tianna and Adam froze, terrified. Its beady glowing red eyes stared at Adam, right into his soul. He couldn't move, he was so scared. Tianna couldn't move either. She saw that the creature was staring Adam down, so she knew she had to do something before things got ugly. So she called out to it. The creature immediately turned to Tianna and stood up. That was when Adam got a better look at it. The creature was about eight feet tall, with small beady red eyes, and shaggy black fur. However, it stood up on two feet so it was almost like a half human-half dog type creature. Without thinking, Adam panicked.
"Run Tianna!" Adam yelled. With no hesitation, Tianna ran, and the creature followed close behind her. Adam quickly ran after them. After a lot of running, the monster caught up to Tianna, but before he could do anything, Adam jolted awake.
Adam sat up from the bed, shaking. He quickly looked over to see Tianna sleeping soundly beside him. Adam sighed of relief, trying to calm down from the nightmare he just had.
What just happened? he thought. Adam sighed, then got up to go outside for some air. A few minutes later, Adam heard something behind him.
"You ok?" Adam turned and there was Tianna in her pjs. She was standing in the doorway with a concerned look on her face. Adam sighed again then looked at her.
"Uh yeah I'm fine," Adam replied, hesitantly. "Just woke up early. Had a nightmare."
"Oh sweetie," Tianna said, hugging him. "It's ok. It was just a dream, so it wasn't real." Adam shook his head.
"I don't know Tianna," Adam said. He thought for a minute. "It just seemed so real. What if...it's because of little critter?"
