For the next few days Karou didn’t say another word to me. He was right for doing so; he knew I needed some space before we could ever consider becoming anything other than fellow club members.

The only words we’ve ever said to each other were with our eyes. Every once and awhile Karou would give me a pleading look that said “Rose, please forgive me” I would shake my head in response every time.

The host club was busy almost every day. Spring was almost over and fall was about to move in.

But of course, something wrong has to blow in with the cold nippy wind of fall.

I had rushed to school on my own that day. I rushed to school clenching some costumes for the next day that Tamaki asked me to make. Tamaki wanted to do an Arabian theme.

I rushed through the music room 3 doors not expecting to be alone…

With Karou.

He stared at me in shock as he clenched onto a classic country guitar.

Oh my gosh… it’s Arabella.

“Can you please explain?”

“Well, at this point there isn’t much to tell…” I shrugged trying not to laugh.

He came a little closer “I won’t tell anyone” he promised.

“How did you even get her into her instrument form anyways?” I asked sitting down.

“I ran into her in the hall, then she fell to the ground like this” he motioned towards her.

I laughed placing my hands out “can I please have my guitar back?”

He smiled placing her in my hands as if she might fall apart completely.

I hold her in the position to play and began strumming to my favorite song ‘Listen to your heart’.

“I know there’s something in the wake of your smile” I quietly sang. “I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yeah”

Karou stared at me not saying at word. Could it be possible that… no. that’s stupid.

“We've built a love but that love falls apart your little piece of heaven turns to dark”

Karou leaned in so that our faces were inches apart. I stopped playing, my eyes wide. “Karou…”

“"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" he whispered leaning in so close that our foreheads touch.

“Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo? Deny thy father, and refuse thy name" I whispered back.

The doors opened making both of us quickly move away from each other. I turn around almost jumping up from the couch immediately. My gut began to hurt as Tamaki and the rest of the host club stared back at me.

I just made the most terrible mistake of my life.

Tamaki ran out, and as I tried to follow him Hikaru stopped me. “Don’t worry about him” he muttered “he had to find out for himself” I shook my head pushing Hikaru as hard as I could. He stumbled back letting go of my arm. I slipped off my shoes handing them to Mori.

“Go get him” Mori said nodding.

I took off down the hall not losing sight of him. He was fast but I was almost catching up. “Tamaki, slow down!” I yelled clenching my dress up a little so I don’t trip over it. He finally after a while slowed down spinning quickly around, His eyes filled with tears.

“Why couldn’t you just tell me you still had feelings for Karou!” he yelled “I thought he broke your heart! So, do you suddenly forgive him?” his cheeks began to turn red.

“Tamaki…”

“I love you, Heather!” he rushed up to me holding me in a dip, he kissed my lips softly. I closed my eyes feeling Tamaki’s tears fall onto my cheek. I had betrayed his trust, but still he had forgiven me and taken me into his arms.

But this time that I’m in Tamaki’s arms he’s not trying to comfort me from the depression that Karou caused.

I’m now in his arms because he loves me. And I think…

I just might love him back.
