I was busy calling all the telephone numbers we have in our house just to contact my parents about our urgent 'group presentation'. I was really frustrated because I didn't actually knew there was a sudden meeting, and what made me more enraged is that, Kel purposely don't wanna invite me into their house.

As If I would love to noh! Kung hindi lang dahil sa bwisit na group project na'to eh!

"Baka hindi ka naman payagan ni Tita, Els." on the other hand, Shy was here with me in the Directress' Office dahil dito kami mostly pumupunta if you have to contact your parents if there's emergency or what.

I know in the first place that my mom wouldn't allow me to join them. The first reason that you may be thinking is that the supposed dinner would be more important than this for my mom but truthfully, it was the other way around.

Because I am an only child, my mom didn't want me to be reckless and such. As if I would do that naman. But yeah, growing up with strict parents, I have to let them know every single activities that I have even if school related pa man yan or what.

Since my mom or even the maids in our house wasn't answering any of my calls, I contacted Dad nalang dahil siya na lang ang tanging pag-asa ko. Mom's probably still in her office or di kaya kausap niya na yung sinasabi niyang 'constituent' niya.

"Pa, pwede bang di ako sumabay sa service ngayon?" ginamay-gamay ko ang bawat salita na sasabihin ko sa papa ko. Though he wasn't really that kind of strict like my mom, overprotective naman siya.

Parang same lang naman yon diba?

Thank goodness, my Dad allowed me to go on our group presentation but I still need to text him the address of the house that we're going to stay for a few hours para masigurado siya.

"Thank you Pa! Pakisabi nalang po kay Mommy. Baka magalit kasi yon dahil importante pa naman yung dinner ngayon." Nakiusap ako kay Dad before ending the call. 

Sa gilid ko, andoon na si Shy at Tati na nakaupo sa sofa ng office ng secretary ng directress samin. Tati had to vent out her frustration to Kel nung nalaman niya na di ako sinali sa gc ng group namin.

"Hayaan mo na yung gagong yon!" I expressed. Mabuti nalang at sasamahan ako ni Tati dahil inimbita siya ni Kel sa bahay nila.

Tati's kinda lucky though, she has an exclusive invite to that asshole's house meanwhile me, his co-member... ugh just thinking about the thought of it, it makes me more mad.

I didn't know na ganito pala kalayo yung bahay nila Kel. I heard that Kel and Raffa and some of their friends were already there. Sabi pa sakin ni Tati ay pagkatapos ng group work namin, may pupuntahan daw sila ni Kel.

Nevermind. They don't need to tell me their plans.

Sumakay kami ng jeep papunta sa tapat ng village nila at sumakay pa kami uli sa tricycle papasok sa mga kanto ng subdivision nila. Pagkalabas ko ng tricycle, bigla akong nangamba.

Comparing my subdivision to Kel's, it's completely different. Dikit-dikit yung mga bahay dito at rinig na rinig mo ang ingay sa kabilang bahay. Totally not my style for a neighborhood but I guess they were already used on this chaotic place.

Mukha namang masaya, there are even kids who are freely running and playing tag here kahit maliit na eskinita lang ito. Sometimes it's satisfying or kind of strucking in my feeling to be surrounded with people like them.

Parang malaya ka. I wish I could have that freedom. A freedom were I would never need to live with the expectations of my parents.Ugh, why am I even thinking about this.

Nang makapasok kami sa bahay nila, it was just a simple two-story house. The walls and the other furnitures are accentuated with lots of pastel and vibrant colors. Para bang walang piniling color accents to fit into a classical architecture vibes. 

But who I am to judge others right? At least they felt like this is their home. Yun naman ang mahalaga eh. 

Di kalaunan ay pumasok sila Lloyd, Kel, Raffa at iba pang mga lalaki na di ko naman gaanong kilala kaya di ko nalang pinansin. Even Ej was here! I think they played volleyball somewhere dahil mostly sakanila ay yung mga nakikita kong kasama nila Raffa sa quadrangle sa school.

"Raf, ano bang address ng bahay na ito?" I asked Raffa who was sitting in front of me in this coffee table. Buti nalang hindi ko nakaligtaan dahil mukhang it's getting dark outside.

"Hindi ko alam eh. Les-" before I cutted off his sentence, napaharap na sa gawi namin si Kel. 

Bwisit naman eh! Kaya nga si Raffa yung tinanong ko kase ayokong lumapit kay Kel lalo na't medyo nahiya ako sa ginawa kong pagsagot sakanya kanina. Pamamahay niya ito so kailangan kong plastikin siya so that he won't force me to leave his house.

Tyaka baka utang na loob ko pa sakanya ang pagtatanong noh! 

"Tinatanong ni Ela yung address ng bahay niyo kase hindi siya nakapagpaalam sa mama niya. May family dinner pa naman si Ela, tsk. Di mo pa inadd sa gc niyo! Kupal mo talaga!" pagsesermon ni Tati kay Kel. Kel's jaw clenched and his eyes furrowed.

"Sino ba kasing nagsabing sumama siya?" pagsusungit niya.

Well excuse me! Even though you didn't invite me here in your god damn house, I have the rights to dahil groupmate niya ako! Can he show a little sympathy?

Siya na nga itong kapartner ko na walang ginawa kundi hayaan akong gumawa lahat ng inassign sa amin. At least give me respect for saving his ass! He's lucky I didn't tell our leader about his attitude.

"Aalis na lang ako. Tati, pahatid na lang ako sa labas ng village na'to." Napanganga ang halos lahat ng kamyembro ko sa aking sinabi. 

I think they thought there's a hint of anger in my words but to be honest, kailangan ko na talagang umalis. There's no meaning behind that. Maybe I chose the wrong words to surpress what I meant.

"Ako na ang maghahatid sayo." Kel's voice echoed.

Tsk. Now he's playing the good one here huh?!

"No need. My dad's tracking my phone right now. I'm sure our driver will be here in a minute." ang totoo talaga, hindi ko alam kung nasaan ba ako ngayon. Kaya nga kay Tati nalang ako nagpasama palabas ng village na'to para maitanong ko sakanya kung anong pangalan ng subdivison.

I was about to open their main door, suot-suot ko na yung sapatos ko ng bigla akong hatakin ni Kel palabas ng bahay nila. Muntik na nga akong madapa dahil sa ginawa niya eh!

"Kaya ko na toh." sabi ko sakanya pero di man lang siya natinag. Pumara siya ng tricycle na dumaan saamin at pinapasok ako sa loob non. Tumabi naman siya sa akin and I felt a little tingle in my nerves when our arms touched.

"Kuya, dalawang labasan po." inabot niya yung bayad kay kuya at bibigyan ko na sana siya ng pera para ipambayad sa pamasahe  pero sagot na daw niya.

"Sabihin mo nasa Nuvista tayo, malapit sa Campbell Academy. Tabi lang ng school. Hintayin ka kamo sa gate ng subdivision." utos niya sa akin kaya namin sinunod ko nalang iyon. Tamang tama at ilang minuto lang ang inilagi ko sa waiting shed ng entrance ay nandyan na ang sundo ko.

"Take care" That's the last word he said before he assisted on closing the door of our car. He even waved his hand on the tinted window to say goodbye. And he even smiled kay manong!
