Ella
"Do you wanna dance?" Jase (yes, I already came up with a nickname for Jason) holds his hand out for me to take.
My eyebrows rise in excitement with my lips twitching up in a genuine smile, "Sure."
I put my hand in his and he leads me to the bunch of couples who are dancing to the slow music. We are now back in the huge brightly lit hall where the gathering is. Jase has given me the tour of his house and let's just say, the place is gigantic.
After seeing Jase's floor, where he told me he is indeed a doctor when I pointed his vast collection of medical books and the white labcoat lying on the back of his chair, he lead me to the third floor which belonged to his step brother, Mason, who apparently is a pro pianist and a guitarist. The floor was brightly lit as compared to Jase's. A shiny black piano was sitting in the corner of the living room, across which was the LED surrounded with couches and a small coffee table on opposite side. The grey leather bean bags didn't go unnoticed too. There was also a sound-proof room on his floor which was specifically designed for when Mason has to practice his guitar. Or piano. I guess the guy loves music. He breathes the tunes. Literally.
After descending the same staircase, we turned left, or was that right (ugh, it's complicated), to a small hallway that was connected to the lounge where the antique bronze furniture matched the golden and white wallpaper. The italian kitchen and a dining room was attached to the lounge. On the back of it was yet another corridor that lead to Sarah's and Daniel's bedroom, which in fact was the king bedroom.
The backyard was, once again, huge with a pool and a hot water bath beside it.
Jase places his one hand on my back while the other holds my hand while I put my free hand on his shoulder. We swing to the beat, taking the steps right and left with Jase lightly spinning me occasionally.
"Hey," Jase tries to grab my attention. When I gaze up in his emerald orbs, they twinkle when he gives a cheeky smile. "Should I check your temperature? You're looking hot today," he asks causing me to crack up.
God. He's so cute.
Since he has told me that he is a doctor and I said that you don't seem like one because doctors are seemed to be grumpy and not-so-easy-going, he started telling jokes, medical jokes to be specific, and throwing pick-up lines here and there proving me wrong.
I don't know. I just think that the people who study medicine are too occupied in studies, they get cut off to their friends and their social life dies that leads them to be grumpy all the time. Thanks to Jase, who proved me wrong though.
"Wait. There's another one," he smirks making me raise an eyebrow in question, the cheeky grin never leaving my face.
"Shoot," I say.
"Are you my appendix? I have a gut feeling I should take you out," he grins, once again, making me laugh.
"How?" I comment in between my laughs, my voice coming out breathless, "how do you come up with them?"
"I have talents," he cockily shrugs. Not buying it, I roll my eyes at him. Though, the slow roll didn't go unnoticed because the next second I am spinning, quite violently may I add, after which I'm being pulled to a hard chest. Though, the torture doesn't end here. Jason grabs me from my waist and throws me up in the air like I am a baby. A fricking baby.
"Jase," I squeal clinging to him, "put me down."
A scowl appears on my face when he starts laughing at my situation.
"Jase. Jason," I repeat urgently now, looking down at the floor. What if I fall? What if he accidentally drops me?
"Please," I plead, "put me down."
Grinning, he nods before slowly pulling me down. Gosh. A sigh escape my lips as my feet touch the ground.
"Don't ever do that again," I speak, my voice coming out stern.
"Don't ever roll your eyes at me," he smirks, his eyes glinting evily.
Squinting, I challengingly say, "Watch me," and roll my eyes, quite slowly and dramatically.
His smirk, on the other hand, widens even more, making me take a step back.
What are you planning now, Jase?
He takes a step close to me, intimidatingly slow. Not willing to fall into his trap, I take a step back, again. When his eyes squint on my small frame, the first thing my mind yells is run.
And I do just that. Turning around, I run away from him while my mind plays the fast music that plays in movies whenever someone's in danger.
I look behind my back and find Jason following behind me, and much to my dismay, closing on me.
Multiple surprised eyes fall on us while we are busy creating a commotion, running around and past people, in a formal event, dressed in a gown and a tux. Not to mention the clacking sound of my 4" heels.
I am about to turn right but a strong arm surrounding my waist halts me to a stop.
"Gotcha," Jason childishly yells. I fall in hysterics when out of nowhere he starts tickling me.
"Jase," I speak in between my laughs as I find him grinning too, "Jason, please."
I try to wriggle out of his hold but to no avail. I am already out of breath and the laughter due to his tickling is so not helping.
"Stop, please," I try once again, my voice is coming out weird in between laughs. He doesn't stop though. His tickling session continues while our laughter echoes around in the hall.
"Ella?"
I hear a familiar voice calling my name, making me freeze in Jason's arms.
Crap.
