Can You Fix My Broken Heart?

Chapter 1

--4 years later--

"Rose!!!" I hear my dad call.

"I'll be down in two minutes!!" I called back. I put my hair up in a messy ponytail and pushed my glasses up my nose. Mondays. I hate them. I go downstairs to see my friend, Julie talking to my brother, Aaron. She twirled a few strands of hair in her hand. She was in flirt mode, I can tell. She told me last year that she had a crush on my brother, and of course, I was disgusted by the thought of my twin brother dating my best friend.

"Hey. I'm ready," I said to her. She jerked up and turned around to glare at me. She seemed to be disappointed at the fact that I interrupted her flirting. I just rolled my eyes.

"Let's go sis," Aaron said holding the car keys, as he walked out the door. Julie and I followed him out to our (not his) silver Prius. We drove to school. It was the first day of our senior year. I am so glad to finally leave this place. As soon as my brother parked, I jumped out of the car and started on my way to school. Aaron and Julie caught up to me.

"A little too eager there, sis?" Aaron said in a teasing tone. I rolled my eyes, and walked ahead. I took in the familiar surroundings. The front of the school was buzzing with students, old and new. The new kids and freshmen looked nervous and excited at the same time. Then a familiar mop of light brown hair caught my eye. I froze, my eyes widening. I looked behind me to see Aaron talking to a bunch of his friends. I run up to him with a panicked look. "Why is he here?" I thought. Aaron saw my panicked look and immediately excused himself from his friends, and came over to me, concerned.

"What's wrong Rosie?" He asked me worriedly.

"I can't believe it. I just can't believe it," I said quietly, more to myself than Aaron.

"What can't you believe?"

"He's back."
