A Secret Tea Garden
Candle flame flourishing upon the table
In shadow Cinderella, her head lain upon silken sable
Night time growing looming and vast
Dining room elegance belonging to the past
Ever moon-bathing amid the arising stars
Riding in carriages to flowering tea parties from afar
Enchanting meek mink mice, and dancing until dawn
Lilting red and white mushrooms beginning to yawn
Lemon fruit lanterns and pumpkin tea lights
A vision of curious and teasing delights.
Homely sugar dollies of liquorice laced braids
And apple candy canes, hung on cherry palisades
Near by, glacier gilded berries of soft sherbet shells
Slicing chocolate saucers and tea cup bells
Emerald invitations inviting Hansel and Gretel each day
Laughing while riding their horses, one bay and one grey.
