Well, there was no telling what recruiting Miss Wanda Maximoff would entail. She wasn’t very fond of your father, Tony Stark, for obvious reasons. When you two finally got the pleasure of meeting each other...she didn’t like you much at first.

At first...

As time went on and you started living with her in the Avengers compound, she realized that you and your father were two separate people. Wanda even felt bad about judging you too harshly after you spent more time together. Now she didn’t know how to apologize.

“Y/N, would you like to order a pizza and watch a movie with me?” Wanda sheepishly asked while you worked on your own in the lab, sending your dad some blueprints of your latest creation for him to go over. You thought you were hallucinating from a lack of sleep, to be honest.

“W-What?” You mumbled while rubbing your eyes. “Oh! Yeah, that sounds good! I’ll just take a quick shower.” You nodded and watched her crack a little smile and walk off to order the pizza. “Holy shit...” You said under your breath while shutting down the lab. Next step was the shower where you began overthinking the encounter. Was she finally warming up to you? Did you just blow your chance? Why now? Is she forgiving Tony or just you? There was a lot to go over.

You dried off afterwards and got ready to face this puzzling situation, you really hoped that this was the beginning of some kind of friendship with Wanda.

“Hey, did you order the pizza yet?” You asked as you made your way to the couch, Wanda was brousing the Avengers’ Netflix account while she waited.

“I did. Should be here shortly.” She told you without taking her eyes off of the TV. “Who was watching Fifty Shades of Grey?” Wanda’s eyebrows furrowed and you began to snicker.

“My dad told Steve it was about the fifty states.” You shook your head and managed to get a chuckle out of her, as well. You’d never heard her laugh in front of you before! It felt like some sort of achievement.

“Wonder what Steve’s reaction was...” Wanda pondered over some possibilities to herself while you did the same, then she patted the seat beside her on the couch. “Sit.”

“Okie doke.” You smiled and took your seat beside her. Wanda set the remote down and looked at you. “Hi.”

“Hi.” She turned the rest of her body towards you and crossed her legs, giving you an awkward smirk. “I wanted to talk to you.”

“Okay, we can talk.” You gave your undivided attention to her and she took a pause to think up a way to address her...feelings towards you.

“So, you know that I’m...not very fond of Tony.” Wanda started off, giving you a chance to nod along. You were pretty used to people hating your dad. “And I didn’t like you much either. You probably caught on.” She went on. “But you’re actually a good person and I judged you too harshly. I apologize and I’d like to start over.” Her words of admittance startled you, but you felt honored at the same time.

“I...thank you, Wanda. I’d like to start over, too.” You agreed with her and she gave you a wonderfully grand smile, lunging forward to giving you a healing hug.

“This is great!” She told you before pulling back and holding both sides of your face, a bit of physical affection she’d yet to show you.

“Miss Maximoff, your pizza is here.” FRIDAY intruded, unfortunately distracting Wanda’s touch and chasing off the butterflies that you’d accumulated in your stomach.

“Oh, yes! Be right back.” Wanda scurried off to the front door and you slouched over on the couch.

“I’m in trouble...”

You and Wanda had been lying on the couch for about an hour now; movie halfway over, pizza halfway done, Wanda halfway in your lap.

“I wish we would have done this sooner.” She told you while shielding her hand over her mouth, still chewing her food.

“Me, too. I find it a lot more fun being on your good side.” You joked, looking down at her. “You forgave me, what about my dad?” Wanda hesitated with her response.

“You know? I don’t think I care much about Stark anymore. I do care about you, though.” Wanda winked at you, you don’t know how much more of this you could take before you told her that you were kind of crushing on her. “We’ve been living under the same roof, despite your father hating you living here. Why is that?”

“Why’s what?” You cocked an eyebrow.

“Well, first, why did you want to be here? And second, why didn’t he want you to?” Her questions weren’t to be taken lightly, that was for sure.

“I mean...” You took a moment to contemplate. “I wanted some space, I guess? From him...especially after he created Ultron. I held some bitter feelings.” You explained to Wanda, who was actually intrigued by your response. “But in all honesty, he didn’t want me here because of...because of you.” She didn’t seem at all surprised by this. “Shocker, I know. He was worried you’d try to get back at him with me, I don’t know.”

“If it makes you feel any better, I haven’t wanted to hurt you since I left Ultron.” She smiled at the accomplishment and poked you in the cheek while you shook your head. “I mean, I did not like you at first, but we’ve been living together for a while and I feel like I know you very well. Maybe I should have said something sooner...” She trailed off and looked to the TV, sitting upright once more.

“What do you mean?” You eyed her gently and waited for her to speak.

“I like you a lot, in a romantic way, that is. And don’t lie to me, I know you feel the same.” Her callout made your cheeks heat up and you rushed to say anything.

“That’s a bold accusation, Maximoff.” You shot back and she chuckled.

“Oh, come on. Won’t you just admit it and move on? We’ve lost too much time as it is, y/n!” She playfully argued and flung a pillow at you, you felt betrayed by the action.

“Playing dirty, huh? Not in the Avengers’ household!” You jumped over to her and tussled around before giving into bottled up feelings and kissing, you both deserved it. For certain.

“Even better than I imagined...”
