Annie's POV:
After Finnick picked me up at my house, he drove me to the most beautiful place I think I've ever seen. We're on this beautiful private beach and there's a blanket spread across the sand with candles lighting it up. Its right before sunset so the sky is this beautiful orangish-pink color. It's so beautiful. "I hope you like it." Finnick says."I love it." I say.
"I knew you would." he says and kisses my cheek. I start to blush a little. I just look at him and smile. I think I might like him. He gets out of the car and walks around and opens my door. "Such a gentleman." I say. He laughs a little.
"I do try." he says and I start to laugh a little. Then we both start laughing really hard. I don't know why. After we spend like 5 minutes laughing, he breaks the silence. "Well this picnics going to get cold if we don't eat it." he says. He takes my hand and walks me over to the picnic blanket. He pulls some lasagna out of the basket and it smells delicious. He also pulls out a salad and some Italian dressing. "It smells and looks delicious." I say.
"Thanks. My mom made it." he tells me. I remember back in Florida his mom would always cook us dinner. She was an amazing cook. "How is your mom doing?" I ask him because I haven't seen her since our families moved here.
"She's fine. Her and my dad got a divorce." he says.
"Oh I'm so sorry. Do you mind me asking what happened?" I say. He nods and continues. "He cheated on her. He also decided to stay in Florida with his other girlfriend." he says.
"Well no offense, but I never liked your dad." I say.
"Neither did I." he says and laughs a little. We finish eating our dinner and he pulls out another box of chocolate covered strawberries. "These are my favorite." I say.
"I know." he says and takes one out and feeds it to me. His mom also made the chocolate and froze it on the strawberry. It's so good. "Thank you." I tell him after we eat the strawberries.
"Oh it's not over yet." he says. I'm confused by what he means. All of a sudden this violin player comes out of nowhere and starts playing my favorite romantic song, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. "May I have this dance?" Finnick asks me.
"Why of course you may." I say and he reaches his hand down and helps me up. "Such a gentleman." I say and he laughs. His laugh is so cute.
After we get done dancing and talking, we decide to take a walk on the beach. "So do you mind if I ask you something?" he says nervously.
"No not at all." I say.
"Annie Cresta, will you be my girlfriend?" he asks. I'm so shocked. The only thing I can say is.....
