Peeta POV:
It's been a week since I asked Clove out. Glimmer left us for Marvel's group. Clove and Cato are a really cute couple. I'm thinking about asking Katniss out. Yea, she's a bitch, but lately she's been changing. Becoming nicer. Cheer tryouts are this week so she's probably just stressing. She acts funny when she's stressing.
I see her coming over to me. I'll ask her out now. She's sits down beside me at our lunch table. "Hey, how's it going?" she asks me while twirling her hair around her finger. Is she flirting?
"Hey." I reply calmly. She smiles and stars eating her lunch. I do the same. I decide to man up and get it over with. "Katniss, can I ask you something?" I ask her.
"Yea, what is it Peeta?" she replies.
"Katniss, I don't know if you feel the same or not but would you maybe wanna go out on a date?" She stays silent for a few seconds. I hope she doesn't say no.
"Yes." she replies and then what she does next surprises me. She kisses me. Katniss Everdeen, the most popular girl in the school, is kissing me.
Glimmer POV:
We, being Clove, Cato, Marvel and me, are walking to our second period class. Marvel points out something. "Look, those two are getting it on." he yells. We all look in his direction and see two people kissing.
"Marvel, they're just kissing. It's not like their making out." I tell him. I get a closer look at the two people and realize its Katniss and Peeta. I always thought they would be cute and even though I can't stand either one of them, I still am very happy for them.
