His next steps were hesitant as he walked towards the closed doors. There were two stationary guards in front of it, making sure only a certain number of people came in and out, but never the ones behind the door.
It was never a matter of Jimin being forbidden to go see his parents, but more of a personal choice. He hadn't been ready until now to confront them. Well, Jimin wasn't really sure if he was ready now, but he couldn't wait anymore; he needed to know.
"Corporal Wonho and Corporal Shownu." Jungkook bowed to them, who did the same for both.
"Your Highness." Shownu acknowledged the prince, giving Jimin a long look.
"Can you let us in?" Both corporals looked at each other until finally Wonho spoke.
"We will have to inform the Queen."
"It's okay."
"Then you may proceed, your Highness," Shownu said, his hand already punching the codes to enter the room. Jungkook gave two steps forward but noticed that Jimin hadn't moved.
"Jimin?" The prince looked back at the omega, who was static.
"You don't have to do this if you don't feel comfortable." Jimin finally blinked and looked at Jungkook, who smiled encouragingly at him.
"I'll be here if you need me."
"Can you- can you come in with me?" Jungkook nodded and offered his hand as support, which Jimin promptly grabbed tightly.
Jungkook felt the coldness and sweat of the omega's hand, but also the calluses that he hadn't paid attention to before. It didn't bother him, but that told him how different their worlds had been until now.
He, too, was curious about the reasons the Parks had hidden Jimin. Until now, none of them had said their real reasons, just some excuses that were frustrating the Queen.
The doors were opened by the two corporals once the two younger men decided to enter. The place where the prisoners were being kept was like any other big bedroom in the palace. They weren't being kept in inhuman conditions or in a place like the dungeons from the stories.
They were being treated pretty well, and Jimin believed it had much to do with himself. If he wasn't an omega and the next king, maybe they wouldn't be treated so nicely.
