Indecent Proposal

Chapter Seven

Ava sits on the couch. She didn't know what this was about, but she didn't think it was good. Lance wheels his chair in front of her.

Ava- "What is this about, Lance?"

He wasn't going to drag it out.

Lance- "You and Jason."

Ava was confused; there wasn't anything between her and Jason. The only thing she could think was that he had caught her staring.

Ava- "Jason and me? What are you talking about? There is no Jason and me."

Lance- "I know there isn't."

Ava- "I need you to start talking, Lance."

Lance- "How do you feel about Jason?"

Ava- "That is a question, Lance. That is not an explanation."

Lance- "Answer the question, Ava."

Ava- "I think he's a great guy. I love that he's good with the kids, and he's been a huge help with you. I am thankful he helps around the house too."

Lance- "Do you find him attractive?"

Ava was getting angry. If he caught her looking, he just needed to tell her.

Ava- "What kind of question is that?"

Lance- "Answer me, Ava."

Ava wasn't going to lie. They never lied to each other, and she wasn't going to start now.

Ava- "Yes. He is handsome. Any girl could see that."

Lance- "That's now what I asked Ava. You aren't every other girl. You are you. Do YOU find him attractive?"

Ava- "Why do you want to know that?"

Lance- "Because I need to know."

Ava- "Yes. I am attracted to him. He is eye candy; that's all."

Lance- "Ava, I haven't been able to give you what you deserve in a very long time."

Ava- "I've never complained. I love what you do. You do everything right."

Lance- "So you're telling me that I meet all of your sexual needs? Are you 100% satisfied?"

Ava- "Almost everything. I am not going to lie and say we have it all."

Lance- "What's the biggest thing that is lacking?"

Ava- "The intimacy. The intimacy from being physical."

Lance- "Jason. Jason can give you that."

Ava- "What did you just say?"

Lance- "Jason can give you that, Ava. He can give you the things that I lack."

Ava- "What are you saying, Lance?"

Lance- "I want you to have sex with Jason."

She stood up and slapped him in the face.
