"Boss, this is the newest member of our team,"  a man in a black suit rambles, as Seto types away on his laptop, not shifting his gaze from the screen.

A nod, followed by a curt, "Now leave" is the response the well dressed man gets from his CEO. The man nods, fixing his cuffs as he closes the door.

You stand there awkwardly, trying your best to not fidget or tap your heeled shoes on his tile floor.  After a few minutes of watching his blue clock, you get annoyed, and clear your throat, crossing your arms.

"You're still here?"  is his response, breaking the awkward aura around you.

"Yes, I'm still here. Don't tell me you don't know a single one of your employees?"  You counter, taking a step forward to face him.

Finally, Seto looks up from his laptop, closing the lid as he links his fingers, elbows on his desk.

You try to hide your surprise as his ice blue eyes glare at you, his shoulders relaxed and his jaw clenched.

"Names are merely all I know about them, and that's the way I intended this company to be run,"  he explains, his icy eyes giving you slight shivers. "So, introduce yourself and then get out of my sight. I am a busy man."

You glare at him, stepping closer. "My name is (Y/N) (L/N). Daughter of one of the richest CEOs in this city and country. Does *Silverthorne Industries  ring a bell?"  You counter, as you let a smirk tug at the corner of your lips, standing in front of him, just meer inches away from his desk.

His raises an eyebrow, before returning to his stone cold stare.  Of course he knows that name!  It's one of his biggest competitors yet.  He keeps his composure, standing up as he asks,  "So why are you here suddenly working for me?"  He steps around his polished wooden desk, towering at least a foot above you as he crosses his arms.

"I am here because my father wanted to make a deal."  He rose an eyebrow quickly, nodding to tell you to continue.  "If you let me work for you, as your **"Second in Command", then my father is considering combining our companies to make one massive industry. He is willing to negotiate a deal with you, Mr. Seto Kaiba."  Hearing his name roll of your lips surprised him. He never knew you'd address him so formally.

It was your turn to raise an eyebrow at him. You crossed your arms and tapped your heel, waiting for his answer. "Well? What do you say?"

He took in a breath.  "I need time to think about it. Do you have your father's business card?" You nodded as you took a step forward, reaching into your blazer to pull out a freshly printed card.  As you handed it to Seto, his fingers grazed your hand, and you instantly pulled it back.

"And what about my job offer?"  You inquired instead, plastering a smirk on your face.

"You are hired. The highest position offered currently is Secretary. So, you will start right now."  Seto walked back around to sit behind his desk, opening a drawer you couldn't see. He picked up a stack of papers, and looked at you. "I need you to file these alphabetically by last name."  He handed them to you, and once again, your hands touched. This time, you saw something flicker in Seto's dazzling blue eyes as you pulled your hands away.

"And where would my office be, Mr. Kaiba?"  You inquired, holding the papers securely, propping them on your hip.

"Oh, about that. As my secratary, you will share an office with me."  He smirked at you, gestering to the seat across from him, and the desk in the corner that you failed to notice earlier.

You rose an eyebrow. "Is that so?" You sat down and spun around, your back to him as you set the papers down onto your new desk.

"Oh, one more question. Do I address you as Mr. Seto or Mr. Kaiba?"

He smirked and let out a cold chuckle. "Everyone refers to me as Kaiba. So stick to that."

You nodded, returning his smirk before starting your brand new job.
