"hmm?" i said not looking up from the screen
"what was the topic again?" he asked
"role of friends and relationships" i said choosing a theme for the presentation.
"its been long since we worked together, hasn't it?" noah said chuckling and looking at me
"you think? the last time we were in a group together was in grade 5 for the sports parade!" i rambled. i caught myself.
"woah, you remember that?" noah said cocking his head sideways which i found really cute. y/n wtf?
"of course i do! i missed my friends. i missed hanging out with you guys!" i made up. i DID miss them. but i said this because i liked him. and not a soul knew about this.
"im sorry. i really am.." noah apologised. as much as i wanted to forgive him, a part of me resisted the urge. i simply nodded.
"lets get back to the project." i said letting out a heavy breath.
"hmmm." noah said and opened up google.
i had woken up at 4 in the morning to study so i was really sleepy. i stifled a yawn. and continued writing the facts noah was telling me in my own words. my bed was a mess. paper and pencils were scattered here and there.
"im taking a short break. want anything from the kitchen?" noah asked
"technically its my house and i should be asking you that but just get me a glass of water." i said and laughed at my own joke. it was 6;00 now. we had been working for almost 3 hours! i kept my laptop aside and cleared out a little space. i stretched my legs and closed my eyes for a couple minutes.

"y/n listen..." i started
i wanted to tell her that i missed her

"of course i do! i missed my friends. i missed hanging out with you guys!"y/n said. oh. i was expecting something more personal.

i smiled. i could tell she was tired. her getting tired was equal to her getting drunk. she became really clumsy and clingy. not to be creepy or anything but it was fun to see this side of the i-stick-to-the-rules-y/n
i went downstairs. the others were taking a break. i waved and went in the kitchen, got myself a bag of chips and a glass of water for y/n. then i went in the hall and talked with the others for a while.
"where's y/n?" millie asked.
i was cut off
"lets chill in y/n's room!" gaten suddenly screamed.
i was about to say it was a bad idea and she was tired but everyone ran upstairs before you could say 'school'
i climbed the stairs carefully trying not to spill the water.
i expected to hear noises and screams and songs but instead, i was met with silence.
i walked in the room to see y/n asleep.
"AWEEEE" was the first word to escape my mouth. shit. i was now the center of attention. millie raised an eyebrow but sushed me.
they all were taking pictures.
"should we wake her up?" asher said with a mischievous smile.
"noooo." johnny whined. "she looks so cute when she's like that. let her sleep!"
"are you hitting on my sister?" finn joked
"are you hitting on my best friend?" asher joked
johnny laughed and the others joined him.
"......what's going on?" y/n spoke in a sleepy tone. when she saw us, her eyes widened. she got off the bed but tumbled into johnny because her blanket was wrapped in between her legs.
y/n and johnny fell on the ground. everyone started laughing. even those guys. if i hadn't known better it would seem as if they were about to make out. i also started laughing not to seem suspicious.
they got up. finally. woah what has gotten into me?
"sorry, i fell asleep.. was kinda tired." y/n apologised
"hey, no worries!" johnny said. "you look really cute when you're sleeping" he completed with a wink and y/n..... blushed? wow it takes a lot to make THAT girl blush.
"stop flirting with my best friend!" asher said and playfully smacked johnny on the head.
everyone laughed again. even me this time.
sometimes y/n's obliviousness blows my mind (lmao reference. ok i'll leave)
she can never tell if a guy is flirting with her or just being friendly.
typical y/n.. i smiled.
"come on lost boy" finn said dragging me downstairs. i kept the glass on the table and went downstairs.
