I waved at mom and boarded the bus. It was noisy, as usual.
I took my regular seat next to Tanya.
"Good morning " she said, cheerfully. That girl was always happy.
"Good morning " I said with a yawn 🥱
"Lemme guess, didn't sleep last night?" Tanya asked chuckling
"Hmmm. Miss Chase wanted me to participate in Essay writing competition. Called me at 9.Was up till 12." I said rubbing my eyes.
"Busy person." Tanya joked.
"How's your project going?"
"Oh! Tanya! Listen!"I suddenly remembered.
"Shhhh" Tanya scowled.
"Johnny Orlando called me cute!" I whisper-screamed
"What?" Tanya shrieked. Now it was my turn to scowl.
"Yes! Asher brought him home yesterday and he helped us with the project and when everyone was leaving, he called me cute!"I rambled.
"Wow bro" Tanya said fascinated.
"Come on, let's go." I said getting off the bus.

"Good morning y/n!" Millie and Sadie greeted.
"Good morning!" I replied.
"Good morning n/n" Asher screamed and hugged me. I chuckled and hugged him back
They boys were busy talking amongst themselves in the back.
Miss Chase came in and told us to settle down.
"Hi!" Noah greeted
"Hey" I smiled and waved at him.
Miss chase took the attendance then said, "y/n did you write the essay?"
"Yes ma'am." I said and went and gave ma'am the sheet.
"Thanks for doing it in such a short notice dear." Ma'am said.
"No problem, ma'am. "I smiled and went back to my seat.
Asher had disappeared after the hug. He came back , said something to ma'am came towards us and said, "we're doing a group dance."
"What?!?" I said . I DID NOT want anymore group projects.
"It's for the special assembly " he explained and I banged my head on the table.
"We as in who?" I asked.
"Me , you, the cast and Tanya." Asher responded
"And when is it?" I asked
"In a week." Asher said. "Miss chase said that she'll give us extra time for the project if we need but if we turned it in early, we'd score extra marks."
"Oh"
"If it helps, there is music practice today and on our floor only. And we'll be singing in front of the whole grade 9" Asher tried
I gave him a smile.
'F**k school', I say as I continue to work hard. 'I don't even care about projects.' I think as I complete all projects
"So you're in?" Asher said waving a hand in front of my face. I might have zoned out for a little while.
"Practice in the empty classroom after lunch, spread the message." I smiled and said
The way asher's eyes lit up was adorable.
"Come on, we need to show the school what we've got" he said motioning me towards the door
"Where are you going?" Noah asked
"Look who woke up" I sassed
"Music practice! and sorry for her!" Asher shouted as he went to the lobby area
"Sorry not sorry 😏" I said to noah and he .....smirked....? I rolled my eyes and went behind Asher.
