Naruto kept walking in the dimly lit hallway, as his captain's dead body laid on his shoulder. He kept a serious expression on, he stopped by the doors of the living room, and they opened before he reached his hand out.

"Naruto"

"Gaara"

"We heard. Where should we go?"

"The Yakuza Mountains"

"There eh?"

"Yes"

"What now?"

"What do you mean?"

"What's going to happen now?"

"Nothing's changed. The plan will still be executed, we'll go on and accomplish this goal of ours, despite losing our captain"

"Does this make you our new captain?"

"No. I'm just your comrade. Nothing else"

"Are you sure you want things this way? You know Obito said that the person who comes second in power will succeed him. And you're stronger than Obito"

"What does power have to do with leading? I don't know if I'm ready to lead"

"Naruto, you're more than ready. Obito's gone, but not forgotten"

Naruto shook his head, "No, he's not gone".

"What?"

"He'll never die, as long as he still lives in our hearts. As long as his memories still live, he'll live. Although not in the flesh, but in soul"

Gaara smiled and ruffled Naruto's hair, "You're the spitting image of him. You're just like him, Naruto. We haven't forgotten our captain. We never will. But, time won't stop for us to mourn"

"I know that Gaara. After we complete the plan, we'll mourn him in peace. But now, we'll just have to delay it. In time, a very short time, the cursed shinobi world we live in, will perish. Are you ready?"

"Born ready Naruto"

"Good then, shall we go?"

"Yes, the others are waiting outside the hideout", Gaara said walking pass Naruto, as Naruto walked behind him.

"Oi Naruto, are you going to keep the captain's robe?"

"Yes I will, to keep his spirit alive during the battle"

"That sounds... Intriguing and beautiful"

"The art of battle. Something so thrilling yet so dangerous. But that's what makes it so beautiful, the way you can fight without a care in the world. Battle has no rules. You can fight without reason. Or fight with reason. It doesn't matter, because in the end, you fought for what you thought was right. But, battles with no purpose is meaningless. Why fight someone, when you get nothing out of it but pleasure? Why fight, if you're inflicting pain on yourself and others? The answer is simple. It's the way the world was created. We fight till our last breath, we fight until we drop dead. Raging wars just because you think you're right, while others think you're wrong. It becomes a series of conflict, over and over and over again. No one thinks about the side effects after conflict temporarily ends"

"Isn't that what we're doing?"

"Of course. It'd be hypocritical to not think so. But the difference in what we're doing is, that we have a purpose not for our selfish desires, but for the worlds. People rage wars for money, for power, for selfish things that don't last. Money can't save you. Power will fade. None of those matter. But, peace, peace is something that matters. Peace is something hard to achieve, but in the end, it's not impossible. We think it's impossible because of how the world is. The world makes it seems that the strong will only get stronger, and the weak will get weaker. Which is very wrong and it's obvious that it is, but, how can you get stronger if you can't get up and look how to get stronger? It's the same with peace. If you know and feel that peace is something that can be achieved, then get up and look how to find the peace"
