A New World

Oblivion

Naruto opened his eye to find himself sitting in a dark place, where no light came in. All he could feel was cold and loneliness.

"What is this?", Naruto said hearing his echo as he moved and felt water by his feet, "Where am I?", he called out waiting for a response.

"So, we meet again Son of Man", said a familiar deep rustic voice.

"Who are you again?"

"I am Fate. Don't you remember our conversation from a few days ago?"

Naruto widened his eyes as he remembered exactly who this being was, "So that wasn't a dream?"

"Oh no, far from it"

"That cool and all but can you show yourself? It's kinda creepy being the only one present"

"As I've said before, I don't have an actual form. I am an ancient presence-"

"That's existed since before the Universe was created, yeah I know. By the way, your vocabulary makes sense now"

"Why thank you I'm actually quite proud of it myself!"

"Anyway, why am I seeing you again?"

"Actually, I don't even know. My theory was wrong"

"Hmm? What theory?"

"Remember when I said that I couldn't see your fate?"

"Yes"

"And that there would be two outcomes? One where you live and your wish comes true. And one when you die and fail?"

"Ah yes I remember"

"You did the exact opposite of what I thought"

"Hmm?"

"You died, and still won"

"If I'm dead, then why am I seeing you"

"Well, it's your resolve that's keeping you on the verge between the land of the living and the land of the dead"

"Is this some astral type of shit that I'm too human to understand?"

"Yes. Honestly, I don't even know why an idiot like you had the strength to shake the Earth just by walking"

"I don't know. I guess I'm built different!"

"That is true"

"Where am I?"

"This is, oblivion"

"I'm in oblivion? What is that?"

"You're in a state where you've forgotten everything and are unaware of everything"

"What do you mean I don't remember anything? I still remember exactly everything"

"Not for long. You see, something new has come to the world"

"What?"

"A threat. An ominous, evil threat"

Naruto grit his teeth, "I don't understand. You mean something is threatening to destroy the peace me and the Jinchuuriki have created?!"

"Something far worse"

"What?! Tell me!"

"The world will enter in a age of darkness. The world will be consumed by evil. The world will fall as the world of darkness merges with our world"
