"HE IS DEAD!"

that was the first thing the seven boys heard in the morning. when the sentence was repeated, they all flew out of bed, not believing their ears. stumbling and still tired, they all got down to the first floor.

most of the staff members were standing in shock, all surrounding something. or, someone.

it was their manager.

he was lying on the ground, blood slowly oozing out from a stab wound in his chest. his face was pale, and it was in an expression that showed he was in pain when he passed.

"w-what happened?" seungsik asked, a loud gasp then heard from the same boy when the staff showed him the lifeless body on the floor.

"we don't know, we just found him like this when we woke up" one staff member spoke up, a sob escaping her lips.

no one said a word as seungwoo reached for the manager's phone that was next to him. "have you checked this yet?" seungwoo asked, moving his eyes between the phone and the staff.

when the staff shook their heads, he scoffed. he was just about to ask for the password to the phone when it unlocked on its own. seungwoo almost screamed when he saw the video that was played.

it was the video of the manager being killed. the knife was pressed deep inside the manager's chest, the said mans muffled screams were barely hearable.

seungwoo dropped the phone, hands shaking. the members that were the closest to him had seen it too, and they were just as shocked as him. the staff grabbed the phone, all either letting out screams or just gasping, not believing what they were seeing.

"we need to get you to safety" one staff member said, signing for the seven boys to follow her. they did as told, and were all ushered inside seungwoo and subin's room. "lock the door, we don't want to risk anything" she said before leaving. seungsik did that, then he sat down on the bed, staring blankly in front of him.

"was he really... dead?" byungchan whispered, not wanting to believe it. "i think so. i mean, it looked like it" chan shivered. he was terrified.

"guys let's not work ourselves up yet. i bet it's just a ridiculous prank. i mean, you have seen the types of pranks that have been pulled on idols for ages, i would not be surprised if this was one of them" seungwoo spoke, making the others nod slowly.

"i guess you're right," byungchan mumbled. "but what if it's not? what if our lives are actually in danger?" he continued. he was close to tears. "we will get out of here alive. i promise" seungwoo replied, not wanting to have that conversation.

"do you promise?" hanse asked, cuddling up to the dog plushie that was laying on the ground.

" i promise."

it felt like hours had passed when the boys finally received information about the whole situation. the same staff member that had told them to stay in the room was back, this time looking even sadder.

"ok so this is what happened. according to the video on the manager's phone, he was lured down in the middle of the night and killed. after the video played, the phone just shut down. we think it was hacked, because it won't turn back on. we have no idea who did it either, since no cameras were rolling during the night. but, we did find out that it happened at 3:27 am" she informed them, chan immediately looking up from the ground when he heard the last sentence.

"3:27am? like the text i received?" he asked, making the already pale lady get even paler. she nodded slowly. "you think... maybe that was a threat?" she carefully spoke up. when no one replied to the quite obvious question, she left. the door locked behind her again, leaving the seven boys alone again.

the room fell silent. "i mean, i never liked the manager anyway" sejun tried to joke. but it was a stupid decision on his part. the rest of the group sent him skeptical glances. "what now?" he asked, chuckling nervously.

"you always talked about how much you hated the manager..." subin spoke, the others nodding. "wait wait so, you are all accusing me now?!" sejun asked, shocked when he received shrugs from his members. "you can never be sure..." byungchan mumbled, moving a bit further away from the older.

"wow. you guys really think i would go as far as murdering our manager?! i can't believe you" sejun stood up from where he was sitting on the bed. he walked over to the door and was just about to open it when seungwoo stopped him.

"guys come on, let's not do this. again, we don't even know if it's true! and if it is, the helicopter will be back to save us soon anyways" the eldest spoke up. but sejun only rolled his eyes.

"yeah but you were still kind enough to blame ME for this bullshit! i'm going to my own room, don't bother me" was his response before he unlocked the door and left.

"we fucked up" "oh really? i didn't notice"

another few hours passed, and the boys began getting hungry. they had gotten breakfast and lunch delivered to them in the room, but they were informed that they would eat dinner together with the staff, to make it some kind of meeting.

the six boys who were still huddled up in subin and seungwoo's room got downstairs to the kitchen together, while sejun joined the group when everything was done.

the staff cooked up the food while subin set the table, seungsik and seungwoo made drinks and the other three were fixing with the dishes.

when they were all seated, one of the seven staff members spoke up. "we wanted to inform you a little more about our current... situation. we have called the police, but since we are on an island in the middle of nowhere, it will be very difficult for them to find us. they told us to come back to the main land and bring the body with us instead. however, there is a problem with that." the staff member got quiet, so instead, another spoke up.

"the manager was the only one that had the number to the company here. we can't contact the helicopter driver." everyone sat silent while letting the information sink in.

"so... we are stuck here now?" byungchan whispered, tears filling his eyes. "unfortunately, yes"

the rest of the dinner, no one dared to speak up. they just finished the food, then went to their own rooms as quickly as possible.

seungwoo was hugging subin tightly, trying his best to calm the crying boy down. "i'm scared" the youngest mumbled. "i know, so am i. but i can assure you that we will get out of here safely" seungwoo replied, rubbing soothing circles on subin's back.

"do you think sejun did it?" subin asked, finally making eye contact with the oldest. "no. i still think it's just a stupid prank" seungwoo said, the sharpness in his voice almost scaring subin further.

"what if it was a staff member? what if they lured us here because they wanted to get rid of us-" subin's ranting was cut off by seungwoo, who shook his head. "calm down, we are going to be fine. i promise you that."

and with that, the two boys drifted off to sleep, unaware of the amount of chaos that would erupt the following day.
