Time Skip- 2 Years

9 year old Izuku's parents were hardly every home anymore, it seemed they had grown bored of Izuku's existence, so he pretty much has the house to himself, he would be upset, but he got used to being alone, except for a few exceptions.

Tokoyami was an exception, the two kids had gotten close, one look and anyone would be able to tell that they were friends. Fumikage knew of Izuku's home situation, but couldn't really do anything besides the occasional sleep over at each others houses.

Flashback- 1st Sleepover

"Hello and welcome to the Midorya household." Izuku spoke dramatically.

"Hm, well alright, anyway, shall we?" Tokoyami asked.

"We shall." Izuku said as he opened his door and they entered his apartment.

Yes, his.

His parents had started to continue their hero work, a cause for the poor excuse of parents to travel, for them it was easier to stay at hotels and such. And so the apartment was now Izuku's, he didn't care that they pretty much left him, they ignored him every since the two found out our protagonist had no quirk, he cherished the memories he had with them before the doctor visit.

They wouldn't completely abandon their child, it would look bad on then as hero's, they had stuck with the excuse that their son had no quirk and didn't want their 'son' in danger. Lies obviously, they couldn't care less, their kid was weak, and he couldn't continue their legacy as hero's.

Izuku realised he was lost in his head and walked over to the kitchen.

"So how about I make some food and we can watch something while we eat, that's the plan for now, you can help of you want." Izuku suggested.

"Hm, that sounds good, and yes, I think I will assist you." Tokoyami nodded.

(Insert favorite food here)

Tokoyami started to get confused halfway with helping make the food, where were his parents, it was already 8:16 in the afternoon, yet his parents were no where to be seen, and they weren't here either, the only shoes at the door were his and Izuku's.

Curious and slightly concerned, he asked his friend.

"Hey Midorya... Where are your parents?" Tokoyami asked hoping he hadn't upset his best friend.

"Hm? Oh their gone." Izuku said way too calmly for Fumikage's liking.

He sweat dropped and slowed what he was doing, "I'm um... I'm sorry for your loss." Tokoyami said softly, slightly concerned for his friends wellbeing.

"What? Their not dead, well, to me they are." Izuku said as a matter of factly.

Tokoyami had thought himself to be dark and mysterious, but his friend was a true mystery to him.
