"What are we talking about?"
"I said, what do you want to do?" Izuku asked, a smile gracing his wolfy features, something he would only allow when they were alone.
Seeing Izuku in such casual clothing, Fumikage couldn't stop himself from thinking, 'Wow, I haven't seen him in such casual clothing since we were kids'.
Turning around to hide the slight blush of his ears as he made his way to the kitchen, idly wondering what they should make.
Izuku could see his ears turning slightly red but was preoccupied with trying his hardest not to immediately attack his friend with hugs and cuddles because shit, Tokoyami just looked so fucking huggable.
"Well, I think your cooking would prabably be the best idea, and has nothing to do with the fact that the food you cook is on par, if not better than any five star restaurant" Toko said as he entered Ogami's kitchen.
He smiled at seeing a plaque on the wall that said "Ogami's Kitchen" which is sort of ironic considering he lives alone, wow, nope, ignoring sad thoughts.
"What do you wanna eat Toko, cause I got enough groceries to make most meals, well, unless you want something completely extravagant, then I'll probably have to stop by the store" Izuku said as he followed Fumikage to the kitchen.
"Hmm, tempting, but no, just something... nostalgic, if that makes any sense" Tokoyami spoke as he familiarized himself with the placement of tableware.
Izuku hummed thoughtfully, to cook something "nostalgic" wasn't going to be an easy task. How does someone even make something that way of it mostly had to do with memories?
...
Like flicking on a lightbulb above his head, the wolf got an idea.
"Toko, I have an idea"
"Well what is it?"
"It might be crazy"
"Well lay it on me"
"It might save the world"
"Just say the idea"
At this point the two young men were smiling wide, the playful banter was a new yet completely welcome change of pace between the two. The familiar talk only added another layer of trust between the two, something that was in abundance.
"We cook something together" the wolf said happily wagging his tail.
"Gasp, your crazy, insane in the membrane!" Tokoyami joked back in a pompous gentlemen voice while laughing at Izuku's rapidly wagging tail.
"Did you seriously say the word "gasp"?" Izuku asked while holding his sides from laughing too hard.
"Ummm...no?" The two laughed.
Tokoyami loved the sound of Izuku's laugh, or just felt so carefree and full of mirth. He loved seeing him smile because when they were kids, he knew Izuku smiled a lot, but that was before the alleyway indecent, after that, smiles were only shared in the privacy of their own home.
Ignoring sad memories for the sake of celebration, the two finally calmed down enough to attempt to make something.

Looking up at the screen through cracked eyes, I witnessed the hero's of today taking the exam.
It was painfully mediocre.
