Kilo:

I slowly peeled my eyes open to be met with a bright light. My head pounds and the air seems thick and polluted. My eyes fully adjust to the light and I look at my surroundings.

I am laying on a plushy green ground. I run my fingers over it and gasp when a small creature begins to crawl on my hand. I watch it closely as it maneuvers through the grooves of my skin.

Tiny animals fly around me and begin to whistle songs. I look down at myself and see that I am still clothed. I stand up and almost collapse at the new ground I am on.

There is no way this is hell.

I begin to walk towards a very large dark trunk with green sprouting out of the top on it. I look at it in awe as I run my finger through the dips and curves of the trunk.

Then it hits me. Earth. The green ground, The large trees. The tiny animals. This is Earth. Father has talked about this. He has told me about my mother and how I was conceived and birthed here.

I walk through the large trees and allow the nature my father spoke so highly of to bless me. The air seemed clogged but fresh at the same time.

I ran my fingers through my hair and took a deep breath. "Oh my gosh! Are you alright?!" A very afraid women asks me. She looks at me as if she is horrified.

I look down at my appearance and realize I have severely blood stained sweatpants and bruises all over my body.

The woman looks around my age and her hair is up in a tight bun. She has a long dress on with a corset around her waist. She grabs my wrist and begins to quickly maneuver through the trees.

We walk up to a cottage and she opens the door before pulling me in. She closes the door and locks it before running into the bathroom.

"What happened to you?" She asks me while beginning to run bath water.

"I- I don't know." I tell her. It's a lie. What am gonna say. An angel raped me? She wouldn't believe me.

"Well let's get you cleaned up. Do you have a home?" She asks me while walking out of the bathroom. She crosses her arms and stares at me waiting for a response.

"I- yes, I have a home." I tell her and she nods before squinting her eyes.

"What's your name?" She asks me and I clear my throat.

"Kilo." I say and her eyes widen.

"Who is your mother?" She asks me and I begin to feel uneasy.

"Queen Hecuba." I tell her and her eyes widen even more.

"I've heard stories about you. The bastard child the queen gave away. Arent you a goddess?" She asks me and I nod.

"I am a demi-goddess." I tell her and she nods with slight doubt in her eyes. She walks into the bathroom and stops the water. She opens a small drawer and pulls out a dress. She takes the folded dress and brings it to the bathroom.

"Your bath is ready. Be quick because I have more to ask." She says before walking into the kitchen. I watch as she begins to cut vegetables.
